Who needs NATO when you have Area-13? Cereal Killers, GDAS, PWNY, Squad-144, Team ICE, Valkyrie, and anyone else I may have missed allied to become one overall team. We've all played with any and all combinations of the above teams, but why not combine all the teams to form one. The hard part will be coming up with a name. Area-13, A-13, 13, or Thirteen are possibles names. I think it would be fun to get out into other areas of the state or possibly a neighboring state as a combined force. Anyone game?

Seriously? This seems pointless. You will never really get to play as a team anyways.

Which would beg the question: What is more pointless, a pointless idea, or someone who points out its pointlessness?

I think the idea is more to have a big group of people who play together go to a really big game and all play together than to have a "legit" 45-man team.XXX wrote:Seriously? This seems pointless. You will never really get to play as a team anyways.

Re: Who Needs NATO?
It's also to have a big enough team so that when we do go to ops and some can"t make it we'll still have plenty of people to fill the slots and if we get to a op and there are teams who want to run together such as team mantis and sas or ic and du it will allow them to have that chance to run together. because we will have enough to be a opforce for the other team.I think it would rock to have your own platoon show up to a game.

Re: Who Needs NATO?
Admin and Alpine hit the nail on the head. It's not to create a whole new team. It's more to create an allied team from a group of people that play together on a constant basis. Over time you get a certain feel for how people you play with and against are going to play in the course of game. The next logical step would be to try to gather the same group and play as a team. The numbers have the added benefit of being able to field a team even when other folks can't make it due to prior obligations. I don't really see a down side to it.

Re: Who Needs NATO?
OP: Pinnacle sound like a good first venture for this new group? IT would be awesome if the A:13 crowd could send like 30-40 people to make this game HUGE and raise some cash for our injured troops!MagisterMortis wrote:Admin and Alpine hit the nail on the head.
