"You do know that the internals are the exact same right?"
Might want to double check that -- I'm with Scooter on this one.

I have read that the Plastica series has a metal spring guide as where the CM does not?

Not true. They have the exact same internals inluding the metal spring guide. Now the proline has ball bearing over the standard metal bushings in the Combat and Plastica series, the proline also has a difference cylinder.

"I'm pretty sure that it's the same material that the real steel FAMAS is made out of"...

Ghost, if you were one of my Soldier's, I would tell you to slap yourself for ever thinking an airsoft gun was made of the same material as a real rifle. Similar...maybe.

    Anyway....

CaptnRed, I hope you enjoy my son's rifle. I have the same one and use it to great effect. My first "real" upgrade will be a Li-Po. I have used one before in my rifle and....WOW! I do a lot of semi-auto and the battery that I presently use can not keep up.

Yes. Get different mags. That is the simple answer. But....since we have the wind up variety........

    Here is what I do...

Top off mag's after each round and then wind them up.
During gameplay remember to wind them up from time to time.
With more playing you will learn you weapon, and be able to tell when the mag needs winding.
And most importantly.....be behind Cover when winding. Keep checking downrange for targets. Move when ready.

OBSERVE, ENGAGE, MOVE. REPEAT AS NECESSARY.

Make sure you wind the mags fully. The magazine should make a clicking noise, that's how you know it's fully wound. My Tokyo Marui hicaps will fire all of their rounds on a single wind, but they'll cost a good bit of dough.

Eh, there are some ultra high-end AEG's that are made out of the same materials as a real one. RealSword AEG's are actually Norinco-supplied real-steel externals milled out and modified, and Systema PTW's are also have externals that are made the exact same way as the real one. However, you've got to spend a LOT of money to get one of these :p.

Some Mags have a small allen key way. You can use an allen key to quickly wind your mags. This is really only practical when winding all your mags before entering the fiels as trying to do this in battle will leave you distracted. Any time you are taking cover wind your mag. Soon you will be winding without even thinking about it. Sometimes you may have to wind while you are firing if you are pinning a player down while advancing towards them. If you don't like winding, get some Midcaps. No winding necessary at all.

Well there it is. I have been schooled, and not for the first time in Airsoft. It would be cool to see both rifles side by side to compare. I don't even want to think how much an airsoft M4 would be if the internals were put into a real weapon body......$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

As for Harris and I getting back out..........I am back at work now so the game on the 16th is out. I think my schedule has me being "on call" for the 19th. It really sucks cause I'm jones'n for some action.

Those "teazer pic's" are very interesting. I would love to play there but my FPS is too high. Might go to just watch.

Ken has some up on Facebook. Looks like they were taken at a nearby industrial complex. Sounds like it "might" be a new scenario place.
