Train Horning A Train

So today we got bored at college and decided to drive to walmart, when we were coming back we saw the train going across town. Of course I had to go and train horn the train just to see how they would react. Here are two of the videos of my horns (Nathan K5LA) vs the trains (Leslie R3SK) mine are way louder but from the video they almost sound about the same. When they were hooking up cars one of the guys actually came up to me and asked what I had and said that we scared him the first time we did it.

In the first video I blow mine first and he blows his right after, just so you can tell whos is whos.


In the second video he blows his first.

Isnt there some sort of law prohibiting the use of a train horn in a car? Like you can own it but you cant use it?

They are illegal to blow but we talked with the train guys and the thought it was the coolest thing. Its just something we do when we are bored.

dude I think it's the coolest thing, how much did it cost if it's louder than a train's?

dude i whish i had my truck down here!! i have two sets of train horns in mine... Ghost we run them at a higher psi then trains thats y they are louder.
and they can run from 300-600 dollars for a set of 5 horns

Well actually 300 (if you are super lucky) but they sell for as high as 850.00 and thats just for the horns you still need about 400+ more money for lines, tanks, compressors and misc. Also the reason Russell's are louder is because he has a set of Nathan k5la's which is 5 horns and that train had a Leslie 3 horn setup. So more is louder

Yeah plus we run ours at higher PSI and have bigger lines running to the horns for more air use.

i was riding by chick-fil-a a few days ago and someone blew one of these haha my mom freaked out

I highly doubt it was one of these, it was more then likely a set of chrome horns or shockers.

it sounded really really close to these and ive heard Trents enough times to know haha
