A&k Masada

ok so i was wondering what are your opinions on an a&k masada..i was thinking about getting 1

That was a quick fixation. I'm still loving that P90 (after I replaced a few internals.) And it has probably been about a month.

And about your question. Depends on how you're going to use it. If you plan on using it for CQB, I would find something better. I had one and found it cumbersome to use for CQB. Field ops on the other hand, works ok (my Combat Machine still out performed it.) Parts are hard to find and can be a bit pricey. Rate of fire is decent, and FPS is decent as well (out of the box.) Would I get another one? Only if the price is right. You can take that $300 and get a nice KWA instead that will run circles around the Masada.

Well after playing at GT I decided I wanted something with some range for games the kwa wouldn't fit my role. I really like the Masadas cosmetics and the internals but it isn't very friendly in the external add- one dept.

I've never used an A&K Masada in game, so I can't speak for its performance, but I can say that they can be modified to perform pretty much however you want the, to. I can speak for the externals however. The Masada was design with ergonomics in mind, so its a very comfortable and well designed weapon. You can adjust all kinds of things on it, from cheek-rise, stock length, and the positioning of the bolt on either side of the weapon. It fully ambidextrous, is supposed to be able to be used with gloves with ease, etc etc. Externally I know the A&K model is very solid, so, externally, its about as good as you get. Idk about stock internals though.

You can get externals for it, MagPul makes them, and their airsof counterparts, but you will be limited to the magpul parts. The Masada handguards are compatible with MagPul parts for their aftermarket handguards, including RIS rails, but honestly, the MagPul stuff is the best stuff around for airsoft parts anyways, so if you have the money you can do anything externally to the weapon, like mount a laser, handguard, PEQ box, etc.

Does anyone know where you can purchase replacement selector switches for the a&k masada?

good luck.i've spent a large amount of time looking for masada replacement and upgrade parts and have never seen the selector switches. you can buy an RAS handguard, fixed and collapsable stocks and a cqb outer barrel w/ hop-up online, this is all the external parts ive been able to find.
something to keep in mind, on MY masada the stock adjustment springs are not strong enough to hold a 1 point sling so it will pull the stock out to its farthest extension if you use one.
