Upgrading a G&G Combat Machine Empty Upgrading a G&G Combat Machine

    Post  vorter 26.06.11 19:57

I don't have any experience with upgrading guns, my only knowledge is the parts of a gearbox.
Around the time I bought my G4-A1 Hard (CM), I was considering the KWA M4 as well.
I plan to upgrade the gun, so that it'll make up for the internal quality lost by not getting the KWA, but keeping the great G4/G&G externals.
I think i'm gonna start with the motor first, since I heard the electrics on G&G's are bad.
I need some help/advice on what I should upgrade first, and what is already great internally.
I aim for a good balance on range/accuracy/rof, and so far, my budget is flexible.

You could get the matrix magnum or turbo. Both are very good motors.

    Thanks.
Do you know if the G4 motor is long or short?

I have a new G&G-CM. All I have done is upgrade to 11.1 LiPo with a mosfet and a new piston head. It works great. ROF is waaay up from stock. Not sure what it is, but I like it. It is NOT a distance gun by any means. The FPS is also not high. This is my backup gun incase my primary goes down, and this is my CQB gun for SW.

    That simple?
I'll start picking out some items then.

Also, a bit off topic but, I have $36 to spend on some extra gear.
    Should I get a $24-$26 Midland/Cobra radio/walkietalkie from walmart?
Are those worth the money, or just junk?

I use a midland radio and Iike it. As for gear, can't really recommend because we don't know what you have and don't have. If you don't have a camelback I would get that before a radio, but u also need a way to carry ammo or extra mags, or you may need more mags. See what I'm getting at?

As for the motors the magnum motor is a great motor and will pull just about anything but it will drain a battery in no time.

For what you want, just get a slightly harder spring like a 130 a, ventilated piston head, MOSFET, and a11.1 lipo.

That combo put my kwa at the 440 fps mark, chrono/ and around 24 rps, guessing

I'll keep the gun w/ a 120, so ill be in regs at Airdog.

I have a camelbak, but it's woodland camo and I need tan, so Ill be getting that.
I have a MPS, so mags and vest are covered.
Right now, im debating between a gun bag and a radio, which should I get?

Yeah, I guess I could just use the original box as a carrying case for awhile.
I'm gonna get a Midland at Walmart sometime soon.

EDIT: Turns out I have $25 or so of eBay seller fees. Lol, looks like im gonna have to hold out on the radio for a bit.

EDIT: Gah, AA doesn't accept PayPal, ill probably use my dad's card and transfer money to his paypal account.

EDIT: FUUUUUUUUU, PayPal froze my account for 180 days because I was under 18.
