Hey guys, I was looking at a TM M4 at Airsoft Atlanta. And I was going to buy some upgrades to try to get it up to atleast 410--420 fps and I thought the M130 spring at first but I might go with the M120.
Here is the list of upgrades:

    M4A1 (TM)

    Modify Torque up gear set

    Systema M120 or a M130 spring

    Systema Area 1000 Polycarbonate Piston

Systema Area 1000 Aluminum Piston Head

SRC Ultra High Torque Motor Long type

TM or Classic Army Crane stock for 9.6 volt 3600 mah battery

    Any suggestions like wrong parts?

Don't get a systema spring. They're really long, and as a result, they wear out faster. My FPS has not remained constant over the last 3 months or so with a systema M130. I'd say get a gaurder. Also, I've heard that the Area 1000 piston isn't that great.

Also, with an M130, you risk cracking the GB shell. It'll probably be fine. But if you want max durability, get an STS.

And don't waste your time or money with a crane stock and 9.6v. Get a 2200MaH 20c 7.4v lipo (a 2200 MaH lipo is more like a 4000 MaH NiMh), charger, power source, and alarm for like $45 from Rhino. Then just put it in the handgaurd. Lipos are a lot smaller so it'll fit.

That would make a pretty sweet setup. Though I'd look at getting a G&P maybe and you'd need fewer upgrades. But if you do go with the TM, you can get a Dboys metal body for like $50 shipped from EBB.

Thanks Admin.... You think I should get the G&P Polycarb white piston then? And if you say so I'll downgrade to a M120 spring by Guarder. Thanks

I don't know if I would put an M130 on TM gears. It might work, but if you do, you MUST buy metal bushings.

Yeah, metal bushings are 100% needed.

Wpeake, he said he's getting Modify gears.

The G&P white piston is really good, though supercore is better. Both of those might be a little overkill though. I'd say a gaurder piston. Or get an Angel piston+piston head.

Do you guys know any springs that would bring it up to a constant 410 or 415 fps? I don't want any springs that would shoot over 430 fps.

The closes one that i could think of is the m 110. When i threw it in my AUG, it shot around 395 to 410. But what do you mean constant? All springs are going to lose their fps sooner or later. My AUG now shots around 370 to 380 fps after some use.

I want a spring that would shoot a ''steady'' 410 or 415 or 420 fps. And I don't think a M110 with do it. I have a M110 in my Stubby and it only shoots 300 fps.

No spring can be that predictable..... I've seen brand new M120's do 300fps and the same M120 springs do 470fps.

I'm getting the Guarder M4 full tune up kit with the M120 spring in it. How about that?? And just get a Guarder SP130 spring with it.

Rhino does it for me as he is a guntech. I can't do my own work, just don't know how. I can tell you the upgrade list of my MP5.

Oh, I was going to recommend just getting the SP120 and if it's not enough then sell it on the forums and get the SP130.

What spring are you using in your favorite gun? I might just get the SP130 since I'm looking for a high fps. How would a 9.6 mini go with it? Like the 1500 mah at Airdog and the 1600 one at Airsoft GI?

I've currently got a Systema M130. I personally wouldn't recommend it. It's a long, soft spring, so the FPS doesn't stay at one level. When I got it, it shot 420, then the next time I chrono'd it shot at 440, now it's back to 420.

But I'd definitely say get either a 9.6 or a 7.4v lipo. I'm assuming that the 1600MaH one at ASGI is an intellect, since intellect makes the only "1600MaH" cells. Steer clear of it. All of my teammates that have used Intellect batteries have had them die out quickly, Also, the 1600MaH rating on those cells is kind or exaggerated. If the 1500MaH one at airdog is an Elite battery (IIRC, Elite is the only one that makes 1500MaH 2/3c cells), get it. I loved my elite pack.
