I did this for my friend and me. Not sure how much interest but I figured I'd post anyway. Sorry if wrong place.

This service is for G&G Raider series, of any type. I take off triangle sight and add a PVC "silencer" similar to the fighting cat. It does not silent, but makes more like an amplifier. RIS is still rock solid and does not wobble at ALL. Inner barrel loses no support.

Also, I add a free pair of Magpul style sights. This "silencer" and sight service is 35$.

Here are some pics. Can have silencer and sights in BLACK or TAN.

The tube seems to be hollow. Buy some Great Stuff brand foam, and fill in the tube until full. Then using another tube, push down the foam to compress it. Repeat until you cannot add any more. It will still be light, but now it can actually dampen the sound. Do this with the barrel in the tube, preferably with it taped closed or with a plug. When it hardens, it will support the barrel and remove a lot of vibration.

Would be a good option to have, but you would have to cover the foam up or paint it from its yellow color. I just get an old CD and carve it to shape, and use epoxy to glue it on.

Is the PVC pipe just friction fit into the inner diameter of the RIS?

Thanks for the advice. Right now the tube is not really for silencing at all, just didn't know what to call it. It is for looks, but also amplifies (obviously). Since the G&G barrels are two part, the PVC tube is friction fit onto painters tape that is surrounding the first part of the outer barrel.
It is SUPER sturdy, and since it is light weight and G&G barrel assemblies are tight tolerances, it is not going anywhere.

I am working on making it closed with a small hole for the BB to pass through, I kind of like it the way it is. I realize it is not the highest end stuff lol.

I think it looks pretty slick but I would agree that having the end closed would improve looks even more.

Sure, Ill be sure to bring it up to airdog when I'm done. Unfortunately, I'm working on the internals now, that may take a while......gotta wait for the DSG from ASGI.
