The Delimination Conflict 2, Newberry, SC, April 27-28, 2013

    Post  fallout11 on 18.01.13 14:34

    TDC - 2 - APRIL 27-28 2013

(This is the GA vs. SC game that has been in planning for a bit now. NC decided not to be involved after all, so it is being held at the same location at the first TDC game back in spring 2011).

LOCATION : The Airfarm - 470 Halfacre Rd Newberry SC .

    DATE : April 27th - 28th 2013

    FIELD FEE: $20.00

    TIME:
    7:00: registration and chrono open
    9:30: safety briefing
    10:00: game begins
The rest of the game including breaks, night game, etc... will be posted later

    Medic info
Designated Medics - one per five players
    White cloth armbands.
    May switch at HQ only.
Medics may heal one player at a time by touching any part of the person with one hand for 30 seconds.
Each player gets two field heals. After your third shot there is a three minute mandatory bleed out, at which point you must return to a respawn to get back in (if you have met your quota for heals, you still have to
wait three minutes to go back to respawn)

If a wounded player is hit again while being healed, the 30 seconds starts over. But does not count as another death.
Any player can medic drag a wounded player. One person dragging, and the wounded walks. Two people dragging, and the wounded can run.
Players who are medic dragging another player may still fire.

    Ammunition
    1) support gunners(m249,m240bravos,M60) will be allowed to carry 5000 rds in mags. That would give them 2 box mags. When they are out, they will follow reloading rules.
    2) snipers (bolt action only) May carry 2000 rounds, can reload on field.
    3) All other weapons will be allowed 2000 rounds loaded mags.
    4) All reloads must take place at HQ or a forward CAPTURED spawn point

    Night Games
Players who have a gun shooting 300fps or less with a tracer unit attached will be allowed to run full auto at night, all others must remain on semi only.
Glow sticks - everyone must have one during the night portion.

    Captureable Spawns
There will be several bases on the field of play with flags. If your team has possession of that base, it can be used as a forward respawn point. To capture the base you have to raise your flag on the flag pole at location.

    Anti Tank
Each state will be allowed 6 AT weapons on the field at a time. So choose your guys wisely.
AT weapons must fire a semi soft projectile such as a nerf rocket, or tennis ball.
AT weapons may only be used to shoot on field vehicles, please do not shoot them at another airsofter.
One hit from an AT weapon will take out a tank and crew/passengers.

More info coming as it is posted....

Here is the official NC thread:
    http://ncairsoft.org/forum/showthread.php?21348-Operation-GNS-(Georgia-vs-North-Carolina-vs-South-Carolina)

North Carolina is not the reason this game is not going to happen.
NC Airsoft had no members in the planning committee on this game and this game was announced on the South Carolina Forums before anyone in NC even knew about it.
It would be like Alabama Airsoft announcing a Louisiana vs Georgia game hosted by Alabama, and having yet to tell anybody in Georgia about it and then saying the game will not happen because Georgia is not interested.

If there was any problem, it was a conflict with a major game at CDWC in early May.
    Let's be honest here.
The cart went way out in front of the horse on the GNS game by GNS planners..
The game was announced before there was a date or location secured or any logistics nailed down.

Maybe the excitement of an interesting new approach to a Boarder War game got the wheels turning without really looking at it.
I find the GNS game to be an interesting idea and if / when it ever comes to life, I will be there.

so how does NCAO's non-involvement make this game "not going to happen"?

    AOSC FOR YA
    boom that just happened
HAD A BLAST AT THE FIRST ONE
the second one at battlezone would have been great(ask jstghost cause sunday was epic)but it was predisposed as a bad game due to aosc non involvement in the planning.so after all the fuss they did the same thing to GA and NC(GA on this end of the state anyway)
its in april and i may attend, but as of now i am unsure.i think it will depend on the # of ga players going.
    good luck
    vanevery
what is cdwc and post that game up here, after soco you may get a bunch of the GA guys up there
    later

You're completely right on the cart-before-the-horse-matter, that enthusiasm clearly got the better of them early on, that details should have been nailed down FIRST, that there were indeed many date conflicts (and problems securing venues large enough and yet close enough), and that the SC folks were the driving force behind it all.
However both Splatmaster and Karma (you've heard of them, yes?) were both in on the planning, and I can put up links to discussion on the matter if you like (from both FB and the AOSC planning forum), that is what was posted, and that the above info is now official due to inability to make the originally conceived GNS event happen in a timely manner. As it is this event will conflict with Red Storm East. In the end they settled for a smaller K.I.S.S. 1 vs 1 approach, which was commendable. Take it up with them, I live in GA and wasn't responsible, don't shoot the messenger for the message. Very Happy
As Poopdaddy alludes to it will all depend now on GA turnout so I'm just trying to get the word out as early as possible. I've also encouraged them to go back to the basics of the first TDC game, which was very enjoyable.

Poop, the CDWC game in (late) May is usually their 'Vietnam Patrol' game, however Ferg gave indications that it would not be happening this year, and there is no official info up on NCAO about a May game at CDWC at this time.

NC was given multiple invites and I asked them multiple times to join in on our conversation. After much fuss, TDC 2 is the more logical way to go. NC is more than welcome to join the game, which it will be a fun one. This game is being run mainly like TDC. Its gonna be awesome. GA, I know you will all travel for this one.

GA will wear "tan" based uniforms & headwear, SC will wear "green" based uniforms and headwear. Loadbearing gear does not have to match provided your sleeves are visible and your headgear matches your uniform color group, otherwise it should also coordinate with your uniform color for IFF purposes. You can mix and match "tan" products, they don't all need to be the same.

"Tan" choices include but are not limited to Multicam, DCU, Chocolate chip, Coyote, Khaki, Brown, Tan, AOR-1, Desert Marpat, Troppentarn, Sumpmuster, ATACS (AU), Desert Tiger Stripe, Sinotarn, TTsKO, British MTP, Desert DPM, etc.

Hey guys.... Hope GA is getting a prepped for the game. TDC1 was a blast and this one will be no different. Anyone wanting to get into the planning of the actual game please go to www.southcarolinaairsoft.com and shoot me a message on there. I will get you into the planning area. Fallout11 is currently involved in the planning and can answer most of your questions as well. I will try to log in as much as possible on here, but my job really limits my time available.

Hey, I just moved down to the north Atlanta area and this OP caught my eye so I am thinking about possibly going now. How many people are you expecting at this OP? If I do go, I would be more than willing to run my M203 as an AT weapon. I have a couple grenades and a few nerf rockets. Are there a lot of you GA guys carpooling up there by chance? Any possibilities I may be able to pich a ride. (My wife wouldnt be too happy if I drove that far cause of gas and money right now, haha). If so I can pitch in for gas. Just let me know. Thanks gents.

A lot of sc players have posted that they are going, but the ga players have been a little more reserve on pledging to attend. But I hope to see many ga players coming.

My team and myself are sc players! But we have enjoyed the ga teams, sportsmanship and fellowship. That is why we will be attending this event on the ga side.

Side note I will be down for the downfall game at BattleZone. Hope to see you all there!

Is there a roaster with the GA players that are going? I would be willing to go and pitch in for gas if someone would want to drive me.

I'll be honest, I'm a little disappointed in GA's lack of enthusiasm for the upcoming GA v SC game! Come on guys, this is the third year in a row. We're 2 for 2 at this point, so let's keep the streak going and get as many GA players there as we can! I'm working on bringing a large joint ODA105/Columbus Airsoft group up from the Columbus/Ft.Benning area, and it's a five hour drive for us. Let's make sure we get everyone we can out there!

Sorry for the lack of updates on this forum guys, just super busy. Even though there is not a lot of chatter here, I have been getting a lot from GA players on the AOSC forum. Looks like you guys are over 100 from what I understand. There are a lot of updates including story line, schedule, the works at http://www.southcarolinaairsoft.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6677 . A longer night game is also being considered if we have enough players willing to stay out there. At the current we have two tanks coming in for each state including Fallout and Black Poison Airsoft from GA.
