Storyline:
After the end of the cold war in the 1990s Russia suffered an economic breakdown that nearly brought the country to its knees. Several regions that were once part of the great nation broke away from Russia and declared themselves as independent countries. These new countries were eventually recognized by the free world as independent nations. This planted a seed of resentment in what remained of Russia. Russia was crippled for many years and struggled just to keep up with the rest of the world. Internal conflict and a rise in organized crime set in to further damage the country internally. At this same time communist China was on an economic elevator to the top of the food chain and by the start of the new millennium they had become the economic power of world trade. As China continued to thrive and grow the United States had become involved in multiple conflicts abroad. The most noted of these conflicts was the war on terrorism in the Middle East and by 2006 the US and its allies were fully engaged in that region as it fought an enemy that knew no borders. As time went on the world became more unstable and countries such as Iran and North Korea issued threats of nuclear retaliation against their enemies. The world fought for a diplomatic solution to this new threat but the two instigating countries held firm. These events added further stress to already deteriorating world stability.
By 2008 the US was entering an economic crisis that would prove extremely detrimental to the super power in the years to come. As the economy crashed in America the US struggled to keep a handle on things in the Middle East and it seemed that all sides had reached a stalemate. By 2010 the US was showing signs of internal weakness due to political battles and a lack of support by the American citizens. The conflicts in the Middle East continued as Russia tested the resolve of their former arch enemy. As the world was on the brink of global chaos it appeared as though Russia was recovering and gaining strength. On January 16 2014 Russia and China combined forces to form the United Communist consortium (UCC). This union would place Russia back into a seat of world power. The US was in a deep economic depression and was struggling at home and abroad. The new communist threat put the free world on high alert. By 2016 the US was showing signs of recovery and had strengthened it ties with allies in Europe and the Middle East. The UCC had absorbed several smaller countries including Iran, North Korea, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and Vietnam. As the US continued to recover the UCC decided to embark on an ambitious plan to seize control of their side of the world and establish Communist dominance. They wanted to make their move while the US and its allies were still weak and could only put up minimal resistance. The plan was to execute a three part attack on Europe, the Middle East, and the South Asian countries. This would give them political, Military, and economic control on a global scale. The US and the rest of the free world would be at the mercy of the UCC. Russia and China quietly collaborated and set the offensive to take place on May 1st 2017. In the months leading up to May 1st the rest of the world waited to see what the Communist Block would do unaware of the planned offensive. The fate of the free world will be decided on May Day.
