    Hey, I'm Slugg.

I play airsoft currently in Michigan. I'm moving to Georgia sometime between now and this summer. My move time depends on my job right now and finding work down there. I have family in Jackson, Augusta, Newnan and Hampton. So we are going to be looking for property in those areas and a team. I just want to get a feel for who is who so when I get down to yall I'm not lost in the sauce.

newnan is on the south-west end of atlanta...more outdoor stuff going on in the southern area at the acz field...within atlanta itself there are several indoor fields as well as several outdoor fields to the north of the city.augusta is just starting to crop up as a play area with many of their players being more in the realm of SC than GA because SC fields are closer....this is just about the largest player base in the SE though...so you should be able to find a place to play with little to no effort...lol...welcome..

Let me ask you these questions then. In Michigan there are about 4 airsoft forums with one largest one everyone uses and then a few for regions. Is this the largest forum for the state of Georgia? Is there a larger one for the state? How hard is it to find players looking for a team, or find a team recruiting. I'm just looking for general population and such.

much of the individual team traffic takes place through the myriad of facebook pages that every group with more than 3 members seems to have...lol..this forum is for the most part where game announcements can take place and is the closest to a state wide page....a year or two ago it was much more active...but that is a whole other story..lol..

there are several other pages for local fields

    hope this helps....
as per general population...the atlanta metro area has a player base of several thousand folks....on any given weekend there are probably around 600-800 folks playing at different indoor and outdoor fields around the area......though most have been playing for ,on average, about 2-3 years or less. this community also has a high turn over rate..any other questions..just ask...

Welcome to the forums man! If you end up in Newnan, Airdog has a field there and it's pretty fun. Nothing fancy though.
