Anyone do any hiking?

Does anyone here do any hiking/backpacking? If so, what is/are your favorite trails?

I've personally hiked sections of the Pinhoti Trail, the Benton MacKaye Trail, and the Appalacian trail. I've also done a fair amount of hiking in a lot of the National Parks out west, and just got back from Yosemite this past weekend.

I'm also probably going to be thru-hiking either the Benton MacKaye Trail this summer (GA, TN, and NC through the Smokies), or the Maine portion of the AT if I can find cheap bus tickets or anyone willing to drive up and split gas money. Both are just under 300 miles. If you're seriously interested in doing either one of these, let me know.

I have personally never hiked myself before but always wanted to, just Macon area is sorta small in terms of wildlife, down here, there's salvation

Pine Mountain area

I never got serious into it, but when I was younger in Missouri I'd leave after breakfast and come back for dinner. Finding caves, climbing up and down bluffs, and just general exploring was my life. Yeah I guess it wasn't hiking, but rather roaming and exploring.

I have hiked the bottom part of the appalacian, some trails in the grand canyon national park, on here in puerto rico and a few other small ones in GA.

The ones in Talledaga National Forest has some great views in the fall.

i've hiked in coudland canyon and lots of other places with scouts that i dont remember the names of.

You should hit up the Pinhoti Trail. It's pretty close to you and runs about 250 miles into the BMT, which runs into the AT.
