New Mortal Kombat?

Saw this on another forum I'm a part of. Let me know what you guys think?

If the plot is going to have its characters be that outlandish they might as well have stuck with the original storyline. Pan-dimensional tournament sounds more feasible than innercity serial killing freak tournament.

I thought it looked pretty cheesy myself. Baraka looks stupid and to think that these guys are merely humans seems pretty far fetched.

Definitley. They could have easily pulled off a new Mortal Kombat with the actual storyline and have it be better recieved than this...confusing and barely held together spin...
