which gun?

hey all,
Im getting a new gun so any input is appreciated.

A&k masada or KWA g36 2gx

Should I get the g36 or the masada and get it upgraded?

what's your budget?

good luck finding the kwa g36 2gx ive looked everywhere and cant find it

how are the externals on the masada. Is
it a solid gun?

id recommend the g36c. with the masada, there are very limited aftermarket and replacement parts. plus kwa has nice internals, unlike a&k which need to be upgraded. plus im not a big fan of the masada's selector switch.

I would go with the kwa, it has better internal, but I would also recommend getting the adapter so it can use m4 mags

the Masada looks so good though. would it take alot of money to make the gun run good at 25rps?

I have an A&K Masada. I have to admit it does look sexy, but it fires like garbage. When Airdog finally opens (damned DeKalb county) it will be in there getting upgraded. From everything I've learned so far (only about 3 months) KWA would be the way to go.

get the kwa g36c

I'm going to get the g36 and uprade it. should I start with src gen3 g36c or a echo 1 g36c?
are they both tm compatible?

Neither get the KWA!

I want a base gun to do upgrades on. a kwa isn't that compatable. which of the two is a better gun?

So...you want to get an Echo1 / SRC G36c , then upgrade it so that it will just as good as the KWA would in the first place? Suffice to say it won't be nearly as reliable before the upgrade and after the upgrading process. I've always been curious as to how people seem to make this same decision over and over again. I;ll save you the trouble, the result is always the same :

No, I want it to be different. I want 350fps and 25rps on the echo 1. The kwa is 400fps 17rps. I would have to change it anyway.

The money spent making an Echo1 reliably go 25rps at 350 fps would cost you more in the end than making a KWA G36c go 350fps and 25rps. Any way you cut it the KWA is gunna be easier and more reliable in the end.

Don't know where you got those numbers but your wrong! KWA by far has a higher ROF and it can handle any battery up to an 11.1 lipo the echo1 would break in less than 500 rounds on the 11.1. If you want an expert opinion then that's what I'm giving you but if you want to listen to BS that you read on the net that is probably wrote by a 10 yo then so be it. I work on guns everyday of the week that's my job! There arent many guns I haven't worked on through out the years, I get guns shipped to me from all over the country.

For arguments sake, your aim to is to make a G36c that fires 25rps at 350fps. Here are the numbers :

E1 G36c - 150$ - ?? RPS (not 25rps though, I own one, more around 18 rps) 350fps

KWA G36c - 245$ - 20 RPS - rated at 360fps acccording to retail sites

All you would have to do to the KWA is put a better battery in there and you ahve a G36c that shoots 360 fps at 25 rps, reliably. The E1 is a venture that will be more trouble, cost, hair pulling, etc etc. Switching to LiPo won't be the difference in that cost. Its the BETTER of the two choices.

AGREED! but I guess he wants to learn the hard way!

Rhino and I may sound like we are being prudish, but we are trying to help you out. I've personally been there and done that, and learned the hard way, you get what you pay for no matter what! The KWA costs more for a reason! In itself its a GREAT deal for such a nice gun. Taking something bad and trying to make it great is not going to work out as well as taking something good and making it great. The Echo1 G36c is a great gun if you leave it STOCK. But once you get in there and start trying to pull more out of it its gunna crap out on you.
