nah, if you find the right person or store you could get a good romanian for about 350. A yugo could cost you up in the area of 600. and the arsenal ones are at the 1000 mark. unless you get a used one for like 800. just remember when getting a romanian you need to check a few things, see if the sight is canted, see if the post is canted. make sure the barrels not bent. if you get one that passes those tests you will have a good rifle.-a|ex wrote:long barrels are not stairs friendly. but then again, you can shoot through the stairs...

I was just looking at one before I bought my AR last week. The cheapest I found was a Romanian one for $300 with a folding stock.
And no, .223 as home defense is a not-so-good idea. You're better off with a 12-gauge. I hate shooting shotguns though, too much kick for my taste but they're the most fun I've had in a range.

they are usually $25 for a box of 50 (no problems finding them online). Autry's has them in stock. you won't find any in walmart. i usually buy em in bulk on cabella's.

Yeah, Did some online checks on 5.7 x 28 and its some expensive stuff for sure, not a lot of places have them cheap. Cheapest i found was 20 bucks for a box of 50.
