Firefly bucking +firefly buffer rubber is slightly better than a Prometheus bucking +hnub.
    I've tried them both.

Yeah, you8 need the firefly nub. The Firefly nub is flat on the bottom so the bucking presses down with a "v" shape.

just to make sure (noob question coming). The buffer rubber goes first on the barrel? correct?

EDIT: On AirsoftAtlanta they have a soft, normal, and hard buffer rubber.
My gun is 350fps if that helps also is it true that firefly bucking doesn't need a nub?

The firefly buffer rubber replaces the nub.
Get a soft buffer rubber and a soft bucking. As for which one goes on first, it depends what kind of gun you have.

But if you have a higher then 420fps then you normally want to get a hard though

I can give you a second opinion some time in the next couple of days. I just fixed a problem with my gun that was causing hop-up problems and am now curious to try a few different combinations of hop-ups again. I have a Prometheus NEO chamber with strike chamber, an EdGI Custom 534mm ported 6.01 tightbore, and a host of hop-up packings and buckings (including soft/hard Firefly packings, medium Firefly buffer, Big Out H-Hop set, and Prometheus soft packing). As for which Firefly buffer you use, it depends on FPS and what BB you plan to use. My gun shoots just shy of 400 with .25s, I shoot .28s, and the medium is fine, but I don't actually have to crank the hop-up but about halfway, so I could probably use a soft one easily.

I thought it would be a good idea for me to go ahead and post back here to let you know why I haven't gotten all the results in just yet. Well, the weather has sucked here for accuracy and range tests (cloudy, rainy, low visibility), so I haven't been able a large difference between things I've tried so far. So far I tried my soft Firefly with both types of h-hop from Big Out and a Firefly medium buffer then I decided it was time to clean my barrel and have only tried the Firefly packing with a Firefly buffer after that. I swapped to a soft Prometheus packing and white h-hop today. I haven't been able to tell up to this point what combination works best, but I'm leaning towards either the Firefly with black h-hop or the white h-hop with Prometheus packing combination I tried today. It's hard to even find a place open enough through trees and fences and all at my house to test out range.
Did Manage to hit my dad at 90 yards, though. I had the gun propped on a deck railing almost 10 feet off the ground, had to use my scope to adjust for the range a bit, and I only hit him maybe a quarter of the time, so I had to use full auto, but still... Cool
