NO TACTICAL GEAR
JUST YOU AND A HANDFUL OF SURVIVORS
WILL THEY HELP YOU OR WILL THEY GET YOU KILLED
THERE IS FOOD AND WATER IN THE TOWN
YOU CAN'T SURVIVE WITH OUT IT
YOU NEED A WEAPON

i do FX make up and once for walking dead so i may come down with some equipment and guys to do makeup for people (for some extra cash). not as good as mine of course i have to be the best zombie looking out there.

we may have 2 zombie fest games this year
one the standard force on force (super fun)
the second may be a survival game.

basic idea is
if we have 100 players 20 to 25 will be human the rest zombies.
all players will get the chance to be human,so we will run 4 or 5 games.
(we want a 3 to 1 zombie human ratio)
humans will start in the base in the town.
zombies will be anywhere they want on the field
1st mission will be to get food,water,weapons and ammo to the base.
weapons will be nothing more than low fps springers
(weapons,food and ammo will be in the buildings in the town)
ammo will be limited and you will have to hand reload
once you get supplies back to the base the zombies will start to attack
the base.
next mission will be to defend the base and get to the wood fort for a cure.
you must return with the cure to the base in town.
this is the fun part
rules
humans can walk fast(no running)
zombies can walk at a semi-slow pace
if a zombie grabs you,you change(no biting)
if you shoot a zombie they will respawn in the town or woods at pre-determined locations
you may or may not play with your team or buddies(it will be fun to see who leads,who follows and who goes out on there own)
we will give all players a # and then draw the humans out of a hat.
you will only be a human once.
things you will need to play
eye pro
an old shirt or rag you can put on when you are a zombie
let me know what you think

the idea for this game will be--can you survive?
will you help others?
will you save yourself?
will you live or will you die trying?

the idea is---nothing but what you can salvage
street clothes
no gear
no guns
you wake up and the world as you know it has ended.
you need to find what you can to survive
also gas pistols can shoot to far
a cheap springer is slow and close range
you will need to plan your shots,remember the zombies will be un armed.
they just need to grab you to turn you.you have limited resources

can you survive???

I own one of these, it's hard rubber, like the cold steel rubber knives.

It's an excellent concept Poopdaddy, classic survival horror. Ran several events like this years ago at Georgia Airsoft in Athens, players were typical archetypal characters, ammo was limited, resources in short supply, i.e. 'The Walking Dead' before it came out. Foam & plastic weapons, springer pistols and shotguns were provided around 'town', on-field buildings made up as storefronts and houses. Each character/player had a mission to perform (some in mutual support, some in mutual conflict with others), and you basically got 1 life. Zombies nommed on you for 60 seconds, and then you put on your mask and joined them, left your goodies in a pile. There were a few event staff in costume as well (i.e. the Sheriff, a paranoid hermit on the edge of town, etc), to keep the action moving and "help". Sounds like you've planned something quite similar.
