Necroposting

I can understand that some threads should be locked after a period of time has gone by, But some should remain open
Like for instance, A thread like "What gun should i get" should not be answered 3 months after the fact. Threads like "Favorite singer/Band" Should be open forever due to the fact that this is a relativity new Forum, People are joining all the time and maybe they would like to share their favorite Band with everyone. I would hate to see the " What's your Airsoft story" Thread locked just because no one posted for a while because that is another infinite question to all newcomers. Just my opinion......you can lock this one now , If ya want?...............lol

Yes. Technically, it's not necroposting if:
A) The thread was not time-sensitive
AND
B) What you are posting will add to/revive the conversation.

My bad guys, its just the necroposter had just before he posting in that thread, he brought up a 2 month old dead thread (question had been answered), and it looked like he was just goinging through old and dead threads, bringing them back up. I guess I wasn't really paying attention when I locked that thread. I agree with you Q-bald.

Yeah there's a difference between just plain spam or contributing to a thread with no time limit such as "Post a pic of your......."
