Back in the day, when the Platoon was originally started, it was known as the Black Tigers. We trained in guerilla tactics to better prepare future officers for the hit and run combat that they would face in the jungles of Vietnam. Back then we wore an all black loadout. When BDUs were created, we switched to them, back in the day BDUs were cutting edge, much like multicam is today. We continue to wear the BDUs as we see it as continuing the tradition of the Aggressor Platoon. BDUs also work very well in the mountains of Dahlonega. The rest of the school wears ACUs, and Mountain Order of Columbo wears OD. The correct nomenclature for our rig isnt LBE, its LBV, as it is a LoadBearing Vest. If I ever make Beret Member, I am definitly going out and getting a full black loadout.
