Well, Well, what have we here? (nothin' like a good pun... Razz) Anyway, anyone have a review for this gun? I noticed that a 500-550 fps upgrade can be bought for 20-30 bucks and then a tbb on top of that for 50-80. Anyone have experience with this thing or with the upgrades? Also, this is the upgrade set- would it fit any other L96 (like UTG, etc.)?

Most of the inexpensive L96's have the same internals. Your going to see very little difference between a Well (TSD is also Well) and the UTG. We have swaped parts between the Well's and the UTG's.

Very easy to upgrade. Though I have not used the upgrade listed on WeaponBlender I have used the same upgrade parts from Airsoft Atlanta with excellent results.

I have never been "mega" impressed with the accuracy of the less expensive L96's but they are great sniper guns for the price and in my opinion need to be brought up to the field limit (with .20's!) to be effective.

I have mine cronoing just over 500 FPS with .20s though on the field I use .30's wich helps with accuracy.

As I always post when I post about the L96's... dont damage the hopup bucking! You'll be very hard pressed to find a replacement!

Yeah a friend of mine did that... I can't even say how long he has been looking for a new one. Anyway thanks for your input. Can you give me any idea of your accuracy with .30?

My brother just snatched my L96 from me today but I'll ask him to test it at 200 feet.

Chief, I have no idea what you are referring to I don't have your sniper rifle.. Rolling Eyes

After adjusting the hop up I was able to use "Chief's" sniper rifle to hit a tree appox. 4 inches wide at max distance in his backyard (check with Chief for exact distance) 8 of ten times. The height on the shot varied slightly within about 6 inches. This was with very little wind and with .30's.

    I hope this helps.

I can't give you test results but I run a UTG L96 as my secondary with .30s and it'll hit what you aim at. It's by far way better results than a .2

I'm pretty sure that the UTG is a rebranded Well, as most of UTG's guns are rebranded.

For the hopup, if you tear the bucking, you can always get the PDI hopup, which will allow you to use AEG buckings/barrels.

The distance is right at about 190 feet. Baisicaly 8 out of 10 in a 6 inch by 6 inch area at 190 feet.

Tried the PDI hop up and one other aftermarket and they were both worthless. Went back to the stock.
