I had a gas pistol b4 I traded it.....I liked it because it looks cool on a load out but was not practical in game play.
But Yes it would be way better than a springer if you had to choose. You should also ck out some AEP's. They will work in the cold weather as gas will have poor performance.

Gas pistols are preferred at most fields that I play at for Milsim, if you run the correctly and lube them right they will work fine, our winters are normally not cold enough to hurt them that much, I have run a gas mac11 all through the winter with no problem

For cost effectiveness you might want to look into AEPs. As it has been stated before, they perform quite well and aren't too expensive. However, for looks , feel , and realism, a gas pistol is the way to go. You just need to figure out which one you want.

Ditto what Paul said . . . CO2 is nice too but they shoot too hot to be CQB safe!Aggressor Dog wrote:For cost effectiveness you might want to look into AEPs. As it has been stated before, they perform quite well and aren't too expensive.

Thats really up to you . I'm selling mine . i didn't get to use it in a war but it's still in great shape . i have only shot 100 to 200 rounds out of it . all it needs is a new clip because the clip leeks gas badly .
