That is a ring that goes around the barrel and in-between the hop-up to eliminate barrel wobble.

Yea its just a hop up spacer. that goes around the barrel to hold the hopup in line with the barrel and keep it from wobbling...like a shim.
Just remove the hop up and slide it on the barrel so it is under the muzzle end of the hop up.

I have had luck with Firefly and Systema. Prometheus also makes a good one.

Madbull blue or prometheus. But dont get the prometheus red unless your at 500fps.

Guarder Black is a great option for those around the 400-420fps range . . . CHEAP too!
(The Guarder clear are too soft unless you are around 350fps)
