First of all gas and reliable almost never go together. It is a guarantee that something on any gas pistol will break.

I've had plenty of success with gas pistols as long as you buy a quality gun.

    Couple of rules
    1. KWA/KSC makes arguably some of the most reliable "full metal" pistols.
    2. If you want different your going to have to make it that way or buy it before anyone else has it.
    3. Stay away from anything that is made by WE.

I own a KSC M9 Beretta which has been great and never once failed to fire when I needed it for over a 1.5 years. I also own a TM Hi-Capa 5.1 which stock out of the box is the most accurate pistol I have ever picked up. Problem is the TM stock slide is plastic and as such would require some investment on your part to make it both long term reliable and original, but the availability of parts for this gun is incredible and the accessories are endless to make it "yours".

If you want to keep it cheap my vote is you go something KWA/KSC. They have a new line coming out in the spring with some sweet looking 1911's if your into that model.

Just to give you an example of how you can customize your pistol here is my Hi-Capa.

KWA/KSC Glock series has always workde fine for me. You used mine that one game, its just a really simple design, and made out of pretty high quality thick and blocky metal, hard to break obviously.

    actualy its the hammer spring
and you cant buy glocks any more unless they are on ebay or for sale from someone
bc kwa can no longer make them.

unless you buy them over seas and KSC is still making them which are exact or almost exact to the KWA ones.

From everything I have seen most WE's have a bad track record in some aspect being mags or what not. Like all airsoft guns quality control is the issue and more people seem to have trouble with them...I've seen yours Trent and it looks like you got a good one but I think yours is the exception not the rule. I just have heard to many bad things about WE to recommend them as "reliable."

I have owned two glocks and a buddy of mine has owned one, all have broken and I can not keep up with repairing them, I believe Trents glock broke also.

The only way for any airsoft gun not to eventually break is to keep it in the box it came in and never use it.

What I think he was try to say Q is gas pistol are more prone to break. They can be expensive to repair and they require constant maintenance. The one Trent broke didn't even have a part in country that was at a reasonable price to repair a glock. Other example is our mac 11's. My brother and I plus our friend all owned one. All of ours broke in the same area. The piston thing(idk what it was called). But there was no replaceable part for it under $70 and the gun was $115.

I understand that having a gun that has been discontinued could be a hassle to get parts for. I doubt Scarface will get a Glock anyway for that reason.
on another note, I have heard great things about KWA's NS2 models besides the high cost of extra mags for them.

As long as you properly maintain any gun it will last forever. Like my friends CA M15 that is over 4 years old and never been cracked open. Almost not a single person maintains a pistol like it should be, every time it is used it needs to be properly oiled or it will get destroyed.

No KSC stopped making them too. Check it out. the only ones you can get are the high dollar ones and once they are gone thats it!
