Recently purchased a new glock. Will post pictures tomorrow. It is a glock 29 SF chambered in the superior 10mm round. Very impressive ballistics. A standard loaded 180gr 10mm round retains more kinetic energy at 100 yards than a standard loaded 45 ACP (I believe 230 gr, but don't quote me) has at the muzzle.

Been shooting DoubleTap ammunition through it. 165 gr Speer gold dot JHP with a muzzle velocity of 1460 FPS and 680 ft/lbs of kinetic energy at the muzzle. Not bad for a handgun round.

Not at all . . . there is actually quite a following that hunt whitetail here in GA with 10mm since it is one of the few auto pistol loads that can maintain the required 500ft lbs @ 100yds required to be legal here in GA.

Very nice. Did ya get it new/used? My wife and I are getting into real steel now. I have an SA XD9 and she has a Sig P250.
I am currently looking for a G26 or G27 as she does not like the action of the Sig.

I have been shooting for quite a while and I happen to love Glocks. I have a Sig 226 chambered in .40s&w. I like sigs a lot but they have a very high barrel axis which can make them a little bit harder on the wrists if you do not shoot regularly. The Glocks, however, have a nice low barrel axis that means the recoil ends up being more straight back rather than upwards which means they are easier on the wrist and reacquiring targets is much faster. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have, and if you end up buying a glock, if you want any work done, I perform smithing work as well. I have never had any issues with any of my glocks and I currently have three. I have had others in the past but I periodically buy and sell them. As of now, my EDC is the G29SF that I just purchased.

You can't go wrong with Springfield either. I have a XDm 40 and I love that gun, but I do prefer glocks because the grip angle feels more natural to me compared to the 1911 style grip angle you find on the Springfields.

Forgot to answer your question. I bought it new from a friend with his FFL.

Its a free-floating barrel, when you pull the slide back the barrel will move accordingly.
