Hey guys is there any reason why you can't run a RC HELICOPTER 11.1 volt lipo 5000mah 30c 3 cell battery in an airsoft gun if it fits and can take the 11.1 volts. Would that mean it would last a really long time since its at 5000mah battery?!?!

You can use it as long as your gun can handle a 11.1. and yes it will last a long time being that high of a MAH rating

With a battery that large you can put up to 150 Amps through your wiring. Your trigger contacts might not last to long at that high Amperage. Probably would want a mosfet.

A motor will only draw what is needed to do the job. It really doesn't matter if the battery has 1,000,000 amps or 100 amps. If the motor only draws 15-30 amps that's all it gonna draw regardless of the batteries potential output. But a Mosfet would certainly be a plus if you don't want to replace your contacts ever 6 or so months.

A ab Mosfet looks like a major pain to wire in. I think Airdog will do that one for me...
