No Max, you're wrong.Airsoftguy238 wrote:Here are all the options:
KWA M16 BR-Regular Length M16
KWA SR12-I believe its M16 length
SR10-Bigger than a M4 smaller than a M16
SR7-M4 Size
M4 CQB-A wee bit smaller than your average m4
SR5-Smaller than a M4 CQB
The SR7 is CQBR length, NOT M4 length, as is the M4 CQB with a 10.5-inch barrel instead of a 16.
The SR-10 is like two inches longer than an M4
The KM4 and KM4 RIS are the only true M4's.

Re: KWA M4
Ill give you a little better run down since no offence Max didnt really read your post or post guns in the right category.
Carbine length you've got the KM4 and the KM4RIS. Maybe you could consider the SR 10 but it is about 4 inches longer.
The KM16BR and the SR 12 are most definitely not what you are thinking off as carbines and its not advisable to use them inside.
CQB you have the M4 CQB, SR 5, and SR 7.
M4 CQB is a standard M4 with a 10.5 inch barrel.
The SR 5 and 7 are essentially the same but the SR 7s rail system is longer and has fixed sights while the SR 5 has flip up sights.
My suggestion for a gun good indoors and outdoors would either of the M4 series but the RIS for more flexibility. If you go either way in the line you are heading to a more CQB oriented gun with the smaller and lower FPS CQB M4s or going more towards field with the bigger guns that are going to be firing harder and have longer range and better accuracy. The M4 series is good at both but master of neither.
On the SR 7 it costs 340$. Performance wise its excellent. The minimal shooting I have done with it has been very impressive for a CQB length gun. Ill have a more detailed report when I use it in game on Friday. This thing only came out a few weeks ago so you probably wont find to many good reviews just yet.

Re: KWA M4
How much longer is the M4 RIs than the Sr7 and can I take off the Front fixed site and put an optic on instead?

Re: KWA M4
The M4RIS is about 3 or 4 inches longer I would think. As for the front sight post. On most guns they are removable though I dont know about the SR 7. I havent tried. Ill go look at in a little while. But if you do remove it you would probably need to get a gas block.

Re: KWA M4
Cody, according to KWA's website the SR7 is 3 inches longer than the SR5 and the SR10 is only 2 inches longer than the KM4.

Re: KWA M4
Is it possible to wire an sr7 to the front so that I don't have to deal with crane stock batteries, is there an sr7 equivelent without rails and a crane stock?

Re: KWA M4
and assuming there is an SR-7 equivalent without rails is it cheaper to but that and then add rails myself?
