    Echo 1 M249 MKII Empty Echo 1 M249 MKII

    Post  Twitch 19.02.09 0:32

Ok, does anyone have this or has anyone fired one? I might be getting one...not sure yet. However I want some feedback on them before I make a decision. I only buy Marui rifles usually because I have tried off brands and every off brand rifle I have owned has broken on me (and I take very good care of my rifles and equpiment, so I know it was not user error). Unfortunately, Marui doesnt make M249s, and the CA models are out of my price range.

So any thoughts? suggestions? Airdog, do you guys sell them?

airdog sells them. Man i gotta tell you, the saw is a sick looking gun, but performance wise it just doesnt cut5 it. Im sure you can spend alot of money getting the ROF up on it, but bottom line is unless you just want the looks of the gun, i wouldnt recomend it. A stock G36, or M4 shoots about the same and is 1/3 the money. they run about 350$. you can get a G36c for 130$, upgrade it and put a drum mag on it for what you would spend on a stock m249. I mean they are BA looking guns, but unless you just want the look of it, i wouldnt waste the money.

Ok, well if I got a G36k, what C mag would work best with it?

Unfortunately, there is not a stock mag that is going to keep up with a beastly ROF . . . plan on getting one you like the looks of then rewire/re-motor and you'll be good to go.

    I believe AIRDog has a A&K M249-PARA in stock. I have an A&K M249-MKII and my brother has a A&K M249-PARA. I can't speak for the ECHO 1 M249 but you can't go wrong with the A&K!

I bought the MKII from my brother when he purchased the PARA. He accidentally dropped it TWICE (his call sign should be Shleprock) from the second story of a two story fort! NO DAMAGE! Cleaned it off and went to work! The easiest gun I have ever worked on. Three screws to get the gearbox out and it has a release latch on the gearbox to remove the spring. The barrel and hop-up assembly come out without using any tools in about 5 seconds.

I intend to have my A&K M249-MKII at the AIRDog game on the 28th if you want to check it out.

Rhino at AIRDog has worked on both the ECHO 1-PARA and the A&K. Shoot him a PM and see how the ECHO 1 stacks up. They had an ECHO 1-PARA on consignment but they may have sold it.

As Tinman stated above, all drum mags are equal internally. Doesnt matter if its a super nice UK arms or a cheaper echo1. I however do prefer the UK arms single drum mag over any dual drum. The UK arms is super strong and sturdy! It also comes with rechargable batteries unlike most drum that you have to open the drum and replace the batteries. Also like tinman stated it will need to have the motor upgraded in order to keep up with a High ROF gun. I can do the upgrades if you dont want to mess with it.

Also as chief stated We sell the A&K M249 and I do agree with him, it is a nice peice and we at airdog have never had any issues with them. I personnal have never had to fix something that has broke on a A&K but I have had to fix Echo1 249's. Thats not to say that the Echo's arent good or that the A&K's are better thats just my personnal experience with the 249's. We do have a used Echo1 249 that is forsale from a customer of ours. The used Echo we have shoots good, but does have scracthes and marks on it (nothing a little paint cant fix).

Let me know if you have anymore questions or if we can be of any help to you.

My friend had an A&K one that he let me borrow for a game, and the BBs just went every direction. I wasn't impressed. But I reall want a SAW or M60, and I was thinking of either an Echo or A&K SAW. Can you tell me if my friend's A&K was a lemon or do they all have that problem?

    The E1 is a rebranded A&K.
    So get the A&K.
However, A&K is coming out with an Mk 43 very soon, so if you can wait a month, you can have an M60.

do not get this gun my friend got it and it pieces after a while kept falling off he got the para and the bars on it fell off it. It is a waste of money unless you are willing to spend some good money and get it upgraded. The echo is not recommended on my part.
