AIRDOG extends our welcome to the opening CQB event at our new location.
This will be a first run of the facility with a full blown airsoft game.
We are excited and look forward to seeing our regular players and new players.
More information can be found in the Field Ops section of the AIRDOG website.

AIRDOG will also conduct a woodsball game at ACZ on the following weekend.
No worries....there will not be any paranormal activity at either event!

Aww semi-auto only inside? Personally I think you should consider 350 FPS max w/ full auto, as that is the CQB standard nationally. The top of WarHogs head is a perfect example of why 400 fps CQB is a bad idea.

I second the 350 fps idea I was surprised by the 400 FPS limit for OP FEAR....I really dont mind being shot with 400 FPS guns ,but then again not everyone feels the same way I do about getting shot.

SS airsoft does 400 fps full auto (as should AirDog in my opinion), and alot of kids younger than 13 are regulars there. You think WarHogs head looked bad you should have seen my whole body after running into Trents 30+rps @ 400fps over and over and over again when we played SS. If you limit it to 350, you put a drastic limit on what guns can be used, and that will turn into a "wth i drove all the way here and I cant play because my gun is hot' issue. Most guns these days will have to be purchased, then modified to shoots under 350fps, which further taxes new players and disuades current players from entering. Its just a recipe for failure.

but on a serious note....i think it should be 400 full auto, like the other cqb places around.

I just don't feel comfortable playing CQB period. Even being a referee or a photographer makes me nervous for this one. But I shall be there when I find a ride.

I just think more people will be deterred because of the no full auto rule, especially when other venues nearby allow it. Also, like Flipa said, some people might not come if it was 400 fps full auto because it is more dangerous. I'll be there no matter what, but I think its better to play safer, especially in this kind of CQB where MED's will have almost have no effect.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but just look at SS airsoft. They are booming with success, pulling in a load of new players, have no age limit, no MEDs, a very very small area, 400fps full auto, and they have only enjoyed great success. I don't want to sound like a jerk, so don't take this the wrong way, but I feel like this : if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. There are alot of other places to play that have 'safer' FPS limits and MEDs. That being said, AirDog has posted that its only semi indoors, so its not really that big of a deal at this juncture anyhow. If you want to keep yourself out of harms way, you can always get thicker clothing, a full paintball mask + helmet for the top of your head, thick gloves, heck, even pads for your forarms, shins, neck, etc etc. Some of the guys that play at SS come dressed up like they are about to enter a football game and they have a blast. You can protect yourself from harm if you really feel like you are going to be harmed.

And to stop the argument, it will all boil down to the actual field. I guess the way to make everyone agree to which rules may apply should be up to the referees. If Airdog does try to take on the same SSAirsoft rules, referees will have to be stricter and more aggressive in enforcing the rules.

I'm not looking forward to getting shot with Trent's gun if thats the case. BUT WE ARE ALL MEN!

I'm just saying a lot of people will be sorely disappointed to see the facility be semi-auto only since it is marketed as a mostly indoor CQB facility when there are multiple other locations in ATL that support full auto.

On another note, will the teams be color coordinated (green vs tan) or arm bands? I think the color coordination worked really well at FEAR.

"QUIT CRYING" I personaly think if you cant handle a little pain & blood stay home play world of war craft cause your a pansie azz little GIRL or some feminine feeling homo that cant hack it.

And to the semi auto debate, LEARN TO SHOOT if you have to unload to hit some one then sit out side where you can UNLOAD
for example ANDY mostly shoots semi & he has no problem

While learning to shoot may be a good suggestion it still doesn't solve the problem of "my gun can shoot full auto, if I cant use it, why is it there?" Having the full-auto option on the table brings another level of intensity into the game. I believe the word "lit up" is drastically overused and over dramatized. I've seen so many people complain about getting lit up by a burst of 3-5 BBs, and even if you do get "lit up" , its ok! It happens! Don't get offended by it!

And Flipa you are right, the referees will have to be much more aggressive, like the SS Airsoft refs. I really think AirDog should take a note of how SS operates their CQB field, cause they have done an exemplary job.

Guys just relax! This is just gonna be our first game! SS has changed things since there first game also. They have adopted a semi only rule for close encounters. We will be doing different things from time to time. We will have adult days for full auto. kids nights, plus we have lots of other ideas and some unique things we will be rolling out! All I can say is just relax. We also Just did some videos (slow motion and real time) of 400fps vs 350fps from 15 feet away and the wounds look the the exact same and not only that but our target (Devin) said the 350fps hurt worse to him. Plus we were shooting him on bare skin on his back. Like aggressor said you can always wear more protection.
