    Has anyone used Dytac sights before?
    are they any good?
    Is there any reason I should stay away from them?

    99% of the time sights are for looks in airsoft. I say if you like the way it looks then go for it.

    Like what Nic said, sights are mostly for looks on guns. I mean sure I have a ACOG replica and a EOTech replica and it serves me little purpose by making aiming a little better than iron sights but it doesn't really matter if it's this brand or that. If you like it, good. All airsoft sights are crap and you get what you pay for so it's up to you.

    my dad (Andy) uses a cheap red dot and it seems to help him out quite a bit

    i even use airsoft optics/sights on my real guns.

    I use a leapers red dot on my gun and if zeroed in properly it helps a ton. Although every time I adjust my hop up I have to sight it in again.
