CYMA is reputed to have a much better hopup, and thus better overall accuracy and range. I handled a CYMA M14 SOCOM once, and I was very impressed. Plus, the SOC16 is a little shorter than the M14 and therefore a little more ergonomic.

It just really depends how much money you want too spend. If I was you I would get a TM and not have too worry about maxing out on upgrades as you would with a Cyma. Besides once your done uping the specs of a Cyma you be right about at the price mark of a TM, which are way better made. But it really depends on what your trying too get out of it and how much your willing too spend towards that.

from what i read, TM's are restricted to 300 fps and need to be upgraded. for any sniper, upgrades are necessary.

Yes but TM hopups are far superior to any other hop up out there. Honestly TMs are some of the best guns imo.

well im on a bit of a budget, and even a TM would need to be uprgraded for the distance and fps of a sniper platfor, im thing witha CYMA i could get it cheaper and upgrade it to be better and like Stanford said, be right at the price mark of a stock TM

^While that sounds feasible, alot of people who try to really upgrade their budget AEGs end up regretting not just putting down for a stock AEG of higher quality. Ask Admin about that.

true, thats what happened with my echo 1 M4, but that also had to with the fact that my dad and i had no clue what we were doing, this time im going to make sure to either have someone who knows what to do, do it for me, or be absolutely sure what im doing before we do it

If I were you I'd hold on for a bit, save your money, and then get the G&G. You won't be sorry if you do! Delayed gratification is better than instant regret.

I would at your price range get a Cyma, and put a 6.01/.03 tb in it.
