Some new gear I got today at the PX.

So I'm out in Twentynine Palms, which is where they send all of the Marine Infantry units right before they deploy so they can go through Enhanced Mojave Viper and get some desert training. As such, the PX here has a good selection of tactical gear. Picked these up today:

BlackHawk! Special Operations Light Assault Gloves - Heavy Duty, in CB



CamelBak Ambush (somewhere in-between a M.U.L.E./MAP and a plain-Jane hydration carrier)


And a TroyArms Modular Vertical Grip. CNC'd out of solid Aluminum. Plus it can be switched between a full-length and short grip, and it has a waterproof storage compartment.

Thats an awesome camelbak. I need to get me one...

that camelback does look amazing. definitely looks worth the buy. also does the aluminum grip have any benefits over a plastic/polymer grip? is it heavier?

Yeah, it's just more solid. It's a little bit heavier, but the grip on it won't wear off and it's going to be a lot more durable. Plus it just feels more solid.
