Deans to Tamiya Question Empty Deans to Tamiya Question

Post  Newnan Airsoft Player 02.07.11 0:07

I was wondering if its ok to cut off the deans connector on my newly arriving TM gun and solder on a regular tamiya connector without any problems. I don't think there would be any problems but I wanted to see if anyone on this forum has any experience with this. Any input would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

iirc you have to have the wires coming out of the tamiya because they are specially soldered "down in there" does that make sense? So if you just yank the wires out you won't be able to solder them.

I was thinking of cutting the dean off and after that exposing the silver wire with the correct wire cutters then soldering on the male tamiya connector like you would if you were repairing/replacing the connector wether it be a dean or tamiya. Would that work?
