Here are some pics with optics. 4x32 ACOG w/ Doctor and full Trijicon trades. This glass is amazing.

Very cool! Nice optics. If your willing to go that far you may as well replace that oldschool pistol grip with something more modern.

Lol its not going too far, $120 for two sights new, especially a 4x ACOG and a Mini Holo that is auto-light sensitive is a hell of a deal.
I honestly like the old school grip, its nice and thin. Maybe a Magpul MIAD, but havent really held many other M4 grips. AFG will be here tomorrow.

Re: Show us your Guns
I never said anything about going TOO far, just saying if you are willing to go THAT far into your gun you may as well get a new pistol grip . THe 416 style grip is really nice, same thin feel, except it is somewhat elongated and contoured so it fits your hand much more ergonomically, and looks much better, plus they usually come with a heatsink for the motor which is definitly a plus. The way I see it, if your going to outfit a gun like that, itll just look odd with a 60s era pistol grip amongst all the newage furniture.
The AFG feels really nice and I think it will look really good on your rifle! I almost grabbed that Trijicon ACOG w/Doctor but I ended up getting a 3-9x . You are right about the glass though, looks really nice.

Lol I didn't mean it like that. Do they make 416 grips for M4's because I was under the impression that 416/614's use V3's? I could be entirely wrong. I just want to get out to some games now. Trying to turn this into a DMR like my SL8. Love the feeling of standing in the open and watching kids BB's fall way short and then rip off three shots and nail them while they stand there confused.

Re: Show us your Guns
The 416style grips are for V2, so it will work. I use one on my VLTOR. I also have the MagPul MOE pistolgrip, but I still find the 416style grip to be more comfortable.

Re: Show us your Guns
For a lower profile, here is a suggestion:
Get a short rail that is canted to the right/left(depends which you shoot with)and mount the Dr to it.
ie. I am a right handed shooter. I would mount the optic at the 1:30ish position just forward of the ACOG. This would enable me to engage over an obstacle while still maintaining a lower profile. Seem awkward? yes. The rifle is held at an angle, almost "gangsta" style, but if the sight is zeroed it doesn't matter.
Again, just a suggestion. It works with Real Steel so it might work with Airsoft.

Ive seen this before

But Im guessing you mean something like this.

Ill try it out today but I have a feeling the hop up wont like shooting at an angle. I think BB's will spin off at distance

Re: Show us your Guns
You are correct, firing an airsoft gun at an angle will hinder its range greatly. While you dont realize the hopup too much because of gravity, you will see your BB fly way off of trajectory when gravity is pushing it in aother direction other than directly against the spin of the BB.

Re: Show us your Guns
Yeah. I love taking advantage of that sometimes though. Makes you feel like your in the movie Wanted. Somebody laying behind sandbags? Fire your gun upside down and watch your BB's take a 90 degree turn right on top of them!

Re: Show us your Guns
Yea, kinda figured it would. I have fired mine with an affset and it did curve funny. This technique was mostly for CQB stuff with shorter engagement distances. I don't have as much training as I would like with the ACOG as I would like, so I don't feel as comfortable with it in CQB as I do with the M68 Aimpoint.
