My new multicam loadout
about 90% finished, considering new kneepads and gloves to match.

This is what my Loadout for F.E.A.R. looks like right now. Still need to paint the MICH black and maybe do some touch up on the RAV. Also, the laser sticks out so I need to hit with the Krylon as well.
IF the pictures actually post on this thing, let me know what you think so far.
I will be in black BDU's as well. I thought I had some DAPS (bicep body armor) but I must have turned it back in cause I can't find them jokers anywhere.

Re: Show your load-out
Going "old school" with the ALICE. In small(?) I think. Very nice choice. Add some "cat eyes" and some fastex buckles and it will be a little more "modern". Unless you are hauling serious weight in it, just wrap and tape the waist belt around back. Also, we used to tape 2 chem lights in the "v" of the frame at the bottom. Also also, if you have some, MRE's 2 will fit against the lower part of the frame, close to your back. This will save room in the bag while keeping them easy to get to so you don't have to open the bag to get them. blah, blah, blah.......even though it is what.....about 50ish years old, the ALICE is still a pretty good ruck.

Re: Show your load-out
CAT EYES are little markings that go on the top flap of the ruck. They are made with stuff called Luminous Tape. It absorbs light then glows in the dark. Most units just put 2 - 1" x 1/2" pieces spaced 1" apart, centered, just above where the velcro is.
FASTEX buckles are quick release buckles. Ranger Joe's sells some that are specifically made for the ALICE ruck main straps. You can also take your ruck there and have them put the buckels on the outside main pockets. It make getting into/out of your ruck much much faster.
For more comfort, several company's make replacement shoulder straps and kidney pads. They can get to be pretty $$$ but, if you REALLY use your ruck, they are worth the cash. I have some of each made by TACTICAL TAILOR. I got them at RANGER JOE'S I think.

UTX buckles are excellent. Maxpedition uses them on their bags, the "stealth warrior" ones. They're actually really quiet. Very good quality

My Rig is Finally finished.
What do you guys think?
I'm still looking for either a PACA or a C-Bund for it.

Re: Show your load-out
I'd get a dummy MBITR (very much optional) for the radio pouch and just put your two-way inside the dummy box, and I'd replace the rope with some 550# Paracord (still optional but it would look a LOT better with paracord), and maybe put an IR or subdued flag on the back of the MAP. But it looks nice.
ALSO, just a tip, some of your stuff is set up inefficiently. Your pouches are actually set up for someone who is left handed, but in your avatar pic you're holding the gun like a right-handed person would. You want all of your ammo pouches on the left side so your left hand can reach them quickly while reloading. Move the closed-top pouch to the right side because it takes slightly longer to access the magazine than the open tops, and then you can reload from that pouch when you're behind cover. Likewise, the pistol mag pouches should be on the left side so you can reach them more quickly with your left hand, and you want the right side of your upper torso as fee as possible so nothing gets in the way of shouldering a rifle. On the same note, move the hydration tube over to the left side so it doesnt get in the way when shouldering a rifle. And you want the bite valve to be pointed up and toward your mouth. What I'd do it just take the tube and run it through those two D-rings on the left side, and then run it under that velcro strap on the left sideand back up through the bottom D-ring. The idea is to position the bite valve so that all you have to do to take a drink is to move your shoulder toward your mouth and lean your head slightly down toward the bite valve so you can take a drink without taking your hands off your rifle or really taking your eyes off of where you're supposed to be looking. Also, if you have to use your hand to move the bite valve to your mouth, you can then do it with your non-dominant hand, as you want to try to not take your dominant hand off of the rifle whenever possible.

Re: Show your load-out
Pouch set up is all about personal preference and effectiveness.
If you ever look at my vest my set up is really weird looking. But it works great for me.
I'm a big fan of having my mags on my right side, even though I am a right handed shooter. Why? Personally, I think it is quicker and easier to reload that way. Thats how I have been doing it for years and thats what works for me.
Haing mags on the left side feels awkward as hell, but whatever floats your boat.
Looks like you need some sort of utility pouch to store ammo though. Something you can access. You wont always have a battle buddy around to get your ammo from your hydro pack.
