Gears will be fine! if its a stock motor I would change it as they have issues pulling an m120

Re: Gear question
as long as you adjust your AOE, stock gears should be able to handle m120. just don't put an 11.1v in and expect it to last awhile.
when you shim it, start with the bevel gear to pinion gear. the best way is to use the top gearbox shell, flip it on it's side and screw on the hand grip with motor. you can adjust motor height and approximate how much to shim the bevel. then shim the top shell for the bevel. you should be able to shim it normally from there.
with the motor removed and gearbox screwed back on, spin the gears and check how much play there is by moving the gears side to side with a small screw driver. the gears should not be scraping each other and should spin freely. make sure it's clean when you spin it. once it's shimmed correctly, add your lube, put it all together then test fire it with a load and listen for any irregularities and check to make sure the hand grip/motor isn't overheating.

Re: Gear question
have another question, it has nothing to do with gears though
im lookin to replace the wires and plugs for the gearbox ive been workin on
their gettin all torn up do too perpetual tinkering
Where do I find the plugs for the motor and what size wire should I get?
(thought it would be better to ask my question here than make yet another post)

Re: Gear question
you can get the clips at airsoft atl($4.99). im sure you can get them anywhere but ive personally gotten them there. as for wire... whenever i rewire a gun i use 16g some people use 18g.

Re: Gear question
18awg is fine for m120 builds. going thicker and you will have problems with your pinion gear chewing up the wire inside the gearbox.
