AirsoftGI's FaceBook page displayed a couple of pictures of a G&G k98 that hopefully with be a huge improvement over the d-boys. I wonder if an Enfield might ever see the light of day or an affordable M1? Regardless, G&G's Mauser is good news if it indeed will be produced.

Ares is coming out with spring powered M1 Garands and Carbines and ICS is coming out with AEG versions.

Rhino: Great! Does their catalog mention a price or availability?
Hippie: any idea when ICS will be rolling out these AEG M1s, and a possible price?

the test model for the garand is at the SHOT show....the carbine probably won't be out until the end of this year...according to ICS the garand is coming in the spring of this year..no price point yet but i would think less than ,say..$350?....given their M3 is running around $180...

Re: A new Mauser k98 coming?
ok ..well the idiots over at ICS decided to make a 8 round aeg garand..in 8mm?...wth?....how can you go from doing a great job copying a successful user made conversion into a good production gun like they did with the M3 grease gun aeg to making an aeg that uses one of the most unused types of BBs out there and most expensive....and it holds only 8 rounds?..

Re: A new Mauser k98 coming?
Sounds like their marketing strategy is to sell a wall-hanger/ collector's piece rather than a true skirmish weapon. That's too bad, because otherwise would have been a great shot in the arm for WWII airsoft events. (WWII is my favorite type of play, and I had this brainstorm recently: how about a WWII event at one of the CQB facilities like SS or Tak's no-tell motel? There are plenty of affordable WWII weapons suited to urban warfare-- Thompson, broomhandle Mauser, PPsH 41, 1911A1, Luger, MP40 & 44, the recently revised STEN, as well as Browning High-Power, P-38, M3 grease gun, and even Walther PPK. SS sure looks like Stalingrad to me!)

Re: A new Mauser k98 coming?
well according to airsoft gi the garand will come in both 6 and 8 mm types of aeg and will have either faux wood or real wood..price points will depend on that as usual....though they need to toughen up their build if just rough handling at a show can break off front sight ears...
now where's my damn carbine?....lol.. and yeah thrush i think it would be great to through a ww2 type urban game at the hotel....though the ppsh would probably rule the day...that thing is a beast...

Re: A new Mauser k98 coming?
I've heard the PPsH will definitely get your attention. I wonder if Tak would be open to a WWII event there; seems like a natural fit. I could wrong, but I think there'd be interest, just based on Thompson and MP40 sales. Besides, now that STENs have a revised battery set up, I need an excuse to get one
