High Torque/ Volatge problems Empty High Torque/ Volatge problems

so i hooked up my gun with a m150 spring and wired a non-ab mosfet and a 11.1 4000mah battery into it and when i plugged the battery into it and turned it on semi it started firing full-auto without even pulling the trigger.

basically the only damage that was done was to the mosfet and the motor... the mosfet shrink wrap popped and the motor started smoking...

does anyone know what went wrong? i'm pretty sure that everything was hooked up right...but

sounds like you fried the mosfet. what kind was it? irlb3034 should be able to handle that load. it also depends on what motor you were using. JG blue can handle m150 with stock gear ratio. i usually use 32:1 on springs heavier than m150 just to keep the amps down (7.4v pulls it fine).

fried mosfet. most likely from use of cheap chips, and you most likely over heated those mosfets while soldiering the wires.

i haven't tried using dream army motors on m150 with stock gear ratio. what awg wire were you using? if your shimming isn't spot on, it will increase the already high amp draw from the m150 and stock gears. frying the motor will cause your mosfet to short out.
