I have an A&K Masada that I am looking to upgrade. It shoots around 350 FPS, which is perfect because I play both CQB and Field. However, I'm getting bored with the rate of fire and want to get it to around 25 RPS. I've already gotten and Echo1 gearbox with ball bearings(for free). I wanted to upgrade the motor, gears, and piston as well. Any suggestions will be helpful. Also, I'm not going to build this myself, so if you are experienced in gearbox building or know someone who is, I might need you're help later on.(cheap labor ?) It will be a while before I get the money to do this, because I'm saving up for a few different things, I'm just getting an early start.

Re: Upgrading v2 gearbox - ROF
i bought a used echo1 mp5 v2 gearbox and tuned it up.
360 fps @ 20 rps using a burnt element torque motor and 7.4v 35c 2200 mAH LiPo.
AOE corrected using rubber faucet washer, rewired with 16 awg, deans and home-made 3034 mosfet.
it's mostly stock parts including the bearings and spring.
using a better speed motor and lighter piston should bring it up to 25 rps.

No gears?
I've heard A&K gears aren't very good, is this true?

If they are the same as other ACM gears, they will work fine for a while.
