M16 Externals Help! Empty M16 Externals Help!

I have a G&P M16A1. It shoots pretty good and is mostly complete externally but I want to really bump it up. My original plan was to just replace the G&P body with a HurricanE body but I found this to be too expensive. My main irk is the incorrect markings on the right side by the selector switch, which aren't there on the original M16A1. I would weld over these, but I don't know anyone with a TIG welder I could take it to. There's one at my schools auto shop, but you can get suspended just for drawing guns so I wouldn't even risk it there. I would also like to reshape the fencing into the partial fencing found on the earlier XM16E1. I know I'm going to need to refinish this gun after I'm done.

My question is can anyone set me up with a TIG welder for like 20 seconds? I just need three little beads on the SAFE SEMI AUTO on the right side of the gun. Oh - and I don't know how to weld.

If not - what's my best alternative to welding, and will it look good when I refinish the rest of the gun? I was thinking JB Weld or Bondo, because we have plenty at my house, but I'm concerned it wouldn't refinish like the rest of the gun. To let you guys know, I wont be using spray paint, I'm thinking some sort of aluminum stain would get the results I'm after, so keep that in mind.

If anything strip it down to the lower receiver and explain the case to the auto shop teacher and or principle.
You'd be surprised with the amount of things you can get away with if you ask nicely

Also if the receiver is Aluminum you run the rick of melting it through welding

Yeah, I know. It's been done before, by people who do real - steel conversions. I actually did some research, and for airsoft, I'm fine with painting it. I found some paint in "Parkerizing Grey" which is as close as "Colt Grey" as it gets without spending a ton of money. The paint is actually made specifically for guns. Since I won't be staining the metal, I'm just going to fill it in with Bondo.
