I hope it is everything it is cracked up to be..... I badly need a back up weapon that I enjoy using..... I know I know you would think with all the gun I have that I would like using some of them? But I really only like using my dragon... It is compact feels good in my hands and isnt too heavy... I want another compact weapon that is nice and reliable like my dragon... That thing goes through hell on that lipo shooting 400 fps, and doesnt miss a beat. The main thing I dont like about it is the 190 round VN mags so im in the process of switching to full length mags. Hopefully I like the Tar21 since It uses M4 mags all my gear is setup already. Now it will just need to be around 400fps and handle a lipo.. Ill let you guys know when it comes in, should be in a week or 2..

I was just looking at one of these guns the other day. I saw that they just made an airsoft version. It looks pretty sick!

Jeez Rhino!!!!! Got enough guns?!! The ICS M4 pistol would go nicely for a back up gun. Instead you say ''Ah heck with it, I'll just buy another gun'' lol

Not sure. I would like it to be comparable to my dragon. 400fps and 25bps. but Ill see on the build quality to see if it can handle it.

I've heard mixed reviews on the internals. Externals are pretty sick.Airsoftguy238 wrote:Oh, well arent Star/ARES pretty reputable on their quality?

The way ares posted on another forum is that they used to make the guns for star in there factories. Then they purchased star and its now called ares. All there new stuff is theres and nothing to do with star supposedly but idk about there old stuff.

Yeah, the way I understood it is that ARES was the OEM for STAR, and then they bought out STAR.firby911 wrote:The way ares posted on another forum is that they used to make the guns for star in there factories. So... are the ARES models of the SCAR w/ EGLM and the L85s alot different from the STAR models of those guns? Or just re-branded versions?Admin wrote:Yeah, the way I understood it is that ARES was the OEM for STAR, and then they bought out STAR.firby911 wrote:The way ares posted on another forum is that they used to make the guns for star in there factories. Yeah, STAR is like a rebrand of ARES. Basically, ARES was originally just a factory, and STAR just contracted the manufacturing out to them. Then, either the contract ran out or ARES saw the profit margins, and STAR is now semi-defunct.Hans wrote:So... are the ARES models of the SCAR w/ EGLM and the L85s alot different from the STAR models of those guns? There was a thread on Arnies, but now I can't find it.
