Just curious on how you guys store and transport your weapons...I've seen some good gun bags for like 50 bucks but I don't really
want to spend the extra 50. Any good cheap ideas?

Go to an army-navy surplus store. Buy a BDU or whatever Camo scheme poncho. Use this to wrap up your rifle and use the tightening straps to tie it together securely. This will keep water, dirt, and the other elements out of the rifle, as well as keep its actual essence as a rifle hidden from public view. Very cheap, very easy, and looks cool to boot.

Nah man, thats what they do in the military. For training we use "weapon drops", where we will get word on the SINGAR that our resupply will include higher grade ranged weaponry Razz (M14 with a fancy scope) has been laid out by a forward operating recon team. We go to that point, retrieve the weapon, then complete our mission with it, and its always wrapped up in a BDU Poncho. They use that method in Iraq and Afghanistan as well, keeps the sand out very well. PM me is you want a pic to see how to wrap it properly, or what it looks like exactly, but in terms of being ghetto, its not ghetto, its just very practical.

Cool....very interesting, and I didn't know that. It just kinda sounded like Grab a garbage bag and throw your rifle in it affraid
and yes I would like to see what it does look like when wraped. When you get a chance.

For larger guns (m16's or SAWs or anything big) I put into a guitar case. It looks like you've got a guitar = no suspicion from the public. And for smaller to midsized guns I would go with paul's idea.

Paul's method is still arguably the best bang for your buck, because the poncho can serve more than one purpose.

Got me a black hard case from Bass Pro for $10. Take a look sometime there, the case is durable too... had mine been dropped and stepped on and the gun and the case were both unbroken.

How i store? under the bed
How I transport? In the trunk hidden out of plain view, the best option.
