What kind of tournaments does your friend run and where is the field located?

One element of my team is located in Norcross/Snellville, but I live in Acworth (near Marietta)

well cature the flag and war simulation all types of airsoft games the field is in duluth,ga i live in atlanta about 30 minutes from duluth do u guys have transportion to get together for a meeting one day soon cause i have so things i want to do surrounding aisoft

yeah have visited goldeagle airsoft before at discover mills cause if u have a team i wouldnt mind joining if yall were looking for extra people and wanted to expand your team im 19 and have own car and equipment

if one elememt of your team is located in snellville that great im only like 30 minutes away i know that area well and i know norcross well

The 10th Mountain Division exists as in YOU are NOT the 10th Mountain Division, regardless of how much you'd like to be. Enlist if you want that title.

You've got to understand unit pride. When someone is in the military, they train, eat, sleep, and do everything with their unit. They do PT with their unit and motivate each other to be the best they can be. And sometimes they see combat with their unit, and when they sometimes die for the people in their unit. So, to the people in that unit, their unit is "the best". And outsiders are, well, outsiders. Outsiders don't know the kind of bond the soldiers in their unit do. Outsiders don't know what it's like to do everything with the guys in the unit, they don't know what it's like to stand shoulder to shoulder and fight with and sometimes die for the people in that unit. And frankly, when someone claims that title when they are not in the unit, it is deeply insulting. Because when someone claims the title without actually putting in the sweat and blood, it's almost like you're saying, "I don't care how much you've sacrificed. I am going to claim your title without putting anything in because I don't have any respect for you or what you've done." And I know that sometimes when you name your airsoft team after a unit or wear that unit's patch, it's a form of hero worship, while sometimes it's just that you're a moron who thinks it'll make him look cool. Usually, it's a combination of both. But don't claim the title when there are guys dying for it.

Please change the name, or don't post it on here.

fyi my father served and my cousin still serves in the 10th mountain and i asked them was it okay to use the title

thanks but fyi my cousin serves and my father served in the unit i talked with them about using it and he asked his co if it was alright to use the title and patch i have just as much respect for them as you do if you want you can ask them

im not but i have family who served and asked the co if it was alright to use it if you want you can ask them your self i have permission to use the name and patch

Using the patch is a whole nother ball game as well. I would stop while your ahead if i where you.

Err......you still want to change it......they do not speak for all of the 10th Mountian. I see what your saying though. You created this team to honor the unit. Some members of the 10th Mountian may not want for an Airsoft team to be calling themselves "10th Mountian Division" though.

Family members still serving, whatever, it doesnt matter. I told you in a PM about my good friend thats a crew chief in the 10th Mountain. I asked him what he thought and he crossed his arms and said "I didn't see him at drill last month". I have a family member who went through Ranger School, SF, Airborne (the whole series of schools), the tower of power essentially (if you know what that means). Think that gives me the right to slap on a Ranger Tab right below and SF and Airborne tab and wear a green Beret?
