Ouch! Why am i seeing some "freindly fire" in our future?

One of my friends got shot from 10 feet away by a new jg aug at the last area 13 game, they both jumped behind a bunker and saw each other at the same time and the other kid panicked and sprayed him on full auto. at prometheous he had several welts with dark purple bruises about the size of a softball all around them, it looked like he had been hit by a paintball at pointblank.

I will vouch for that story because I was 5ft. from the shoot out.Situations like that will happen.In the heat of battle it is hard to process semi auto fire at close quarters.Ethan took like a true player and charged it off to the game.The bruises were nice show pieces(chics dig it)Keep this incident in mind when battling on the field because we are all out there with the same agenda:To play hard and safe but not kill one another...

Well watch out for the aug now! Cause I just upgraded the aug and its now shooting just over 400 FPS

FPS doesn't mean anything. I can hit guys at 120' with a gun that shoots 300fps. All that means is it hurts more when you get hit.

Umm. I like higher fps cause it means it stings more for the other person and it gets there faster. Which means less time for the other person to dodge my bbs.

P.S. FPS soon to be around 390.

Its being on the receiving end of a hot gun that is undesirable, one of my g36c's is right at 300 and with a burst it will reach out to 150 but most people either don't notice or don't call there hits at that distance unfortunately.

FPS is often a point of "who's got the bigger stick".
It's not the FPS, but how you use your weapon and tactics employed to engage.

Field limit FPS is set at 420 for AEGs at AIRDOG events and allows players to use their weapons where they have invested time and money.
Although we will do our best as Field Marshalls to ensure safe game play and prevent players from getting lit up, these things happen.
The key point is to honor the minimum engagement distances and to call your hits.

Please do your part as players and report any unsafe / dishonorable game play.

We'll said! Airsoft on the WORST day still feels better than a paintbal though so it is pretty easy to take it in stride . . . For the most part everyone is a great sport!
