Screw Vista. Every Windows platform prior to vista is better than vista. Linux works pretty well and its free to use!

It would make no sence for them to make a flawless OS. Then they would never make any money on the new ones.

Re: What OS's do you run
I've got Vista on my gaming computer and Ubuntu Linux on my old computer I use to host Teamspeak. Vista isn't really as bad as people claim it is. Other than minor incompatibility issues you get with ANY OS the only serious problem I've had is nvlddmkm restarting the video driver constantly, but that goes away if clean out all the old driver files and update to the latest version. That being said Windows 7 looks very promising, I've read it boots and shuts down faster than even XP. I've downloaded the beta but I don't have anything to test it on since I don't really want to risk screwing things up on my main computer by adding a partition and my old 800mhz Compaq isn't up to spec.

MAC OS 10.4.x
If I never had to use a Windows PC again, It would be fine with me.

Re: What OS's do you run
PC is not an Operating System. Windows is.
Vista is amazing, after you have altered most of the RAM hogs and turned the visualizations down. It is very good for indexing and organization.
I have been using Vista since January 30th of '07? I was graced with the present from Bill Gates (AKA I got it for free) for my birthday!
I love the DX10!!
My side computer uses XP, my laptop runs vista and my other 2 backup computers run on XP as well.

Vista is Shista... I run XP. Gibbs thats the only thing Shista is good for organizing things. The only really awesome thing I noticed about Shista is that it search button always finds what your looking for...lol.

Thus the word Windows inserted before the PC. There are other OS for the PC that I might not be opposed to trying. But a WINDOWS PC I could care less about.

Vista Ultimate 64 bit - I like the functionality but don't like the bugs! If your on XP stay with it.
I have two Linux boxes, six using XP Professional, one XP home, and one MS Windows Server. (run my business out of my home)

Re: What OS's do you run
I just got the windows 7 beta and I must say I am impressed so far, it has a few glitches but they should be worked out by the release date. It uses far less than vista coming very close to xp's consumption but at this point is a battery hog, it dropped the battery life by 25% which kinda pissed me off but ehh what the heck I can live with that.
here is a screenshot of the performance under task manager, I will get 64 bit eventually but for now this is just 32, I feel like i am wasting ram though

Re: What OS's do you run
On my computer I run several different Operating systems because I partition my drive. I have Back Track 3, DSL (Damn Small Linux), my own linux platform recovery partition, and windows vista.
