Mounting a POSP scope on an AK

I own a Real Sword Type 56, And since the battery compartment is on the top, I can't mount regular optics on it. But would it be possible to mount a POSP scope without affecting the Top battery compartment?

You do have th option to place your battery in the stock of the weapon in your RS, unless you have the folding stock version, which from your pics I doubt. Check the stock of your AK, you probably know this by now, but the RS Type56 is wired to BOTH the upper reciever and the stock, all you need to do to switch acceptance is place the circuit completion plug from the stock to the upper reciever, than put the battery in the stock. Hope this helps.

Yeah i thought about that, but the space in the stock is very limited. I'll try to test out some of my small batteries, and I may cut up the wood in the stock a tad.

I have not tried them out yet, but they seem to have good pricing on Russian surplus POSP scopes in comparison to the copies you can get from various HK or TWN websites.
Please let me know if you end up buying from them, as I am also looking for a POSP for the SVD.

By the way, I also have a side mounted rail system on my AK-74.
Fitment was good, but the rail was obstructed by the hard sights on the dust cover.
I had to flip the rail (180) to mount properly.
Battery changes are no problem with the quick detach side mounting system.

But where did you buy that Side mount for your AK? I've had trouble finding one
