Modern Ranger Impression

After looking through some pretty awesome loadouts that were rangeresque or a ranger impression (notably justin.kovacks on ASF) I want to go for a ranger kit.

I do need some help finding the flag patches in the first, third and fourth pictures.

MICH 2000 (in FG/Tan?) - In hand The color for a 03-06 mich is Rustoleum 1917. Any thing newer has a new SOP so most are painted with a green net over them.
MICH NVG Mount - Need to order A one hole norotos is the one you want.
Rhino type swingarm - Need to order A rhino arm will work but most use a Wilcox swingarm... there like 800 so use a cheaper one.
Ess Profile NVGs in FG - In hand Rangers dont really use them, your better off with Oak m frames.

Pantac M4 chest vest (RG) - on route This is not correct, you need either a Land CIRAS, RBSS, RRV.
Low vis PACA (RG or OD for cheaper) - Need to order
Level 5 PCU Softshell jacket - Need to Order You dont need this unless you really want it, most rangers use there ACU top. The pictures you have are all from the same group so alot are repeats.

UCP ACU Pants - In hand
Rothco Deployment boots - In hand Any khaki issue boots will work.
Kneepads? Black Altas.





A true ranger kit is very hard to pull off and theres lots of things that have to be correct. Just cause you wear a RG rig and ACUs does not make it a ranger kit.

What about the Garmin Wrist GPS in the 4th picture? I have one.

2 "evidence" AK's that you have to dig out of the ground (3rd picture)
Your loadout will not be complete without them

Indeed Chandler, I might just drop the whole impression (boo ) and go for a roundabout kit incorporating rangeresque features.

My ranger kit is about 85% finished but I have already dumped alot of money into it. If you want to do a ranger inspired kit, then you atleast need to have the correct rig. So RRV, RBSS, CIRAS. Right now I use a pantac RBSS with all EI/AI RLCS first get pouches. Soon I will have a RLCS RRV and back panel.



Also the GPS is ok to use but only a few used them.

I see what you are saying, I just have to get Jimmy to buy my CIRAS and sell off some guns and then I should have sufficient funds for new gear. Are you using fake plates in your PACA, I have seen foam cutouts used before.

Plates go in the pc and soft armor is in the paca.

Alight, I am assuming RBSS and MBSS are they same? Also I found a deal on an issued rhino helmet mount on ebay for around $60 or so. It isn't a notoros style so is it acceptable.?

Thats expensive, I got mine for about 15 bucks. And no they will not fit a norotos, you have to replace the mounting plate on them with a norotos adapter so it will fit into it.

How'd you pay $15? I had to buy mine for $40.

I got mine for $15 as well with a pasgt mount,mich mount,and rhino arm.

Did you guys just find one on ebay that was cheap and nobody bid on? I have seen some for $5 with $15 shipping but most of them get run up really quickly.

Alright, NVG mount secured for $20. Will I be a total nerd if RG gear has black clips?

no dump pouch, make sure the MBITR pouch is the AI type. You want a black riggers belt. They dont use any thing in MJK. Your also going to be caring WAY to many mags... Rangers roll with a support unit right behind them so you need all those. Most use 4-6 mags.

I have on of them and a canteen I could sell you. (pantac) I also have a RRV back panel incase you would want to do a RRV set up.

Also they are issued first line gear but most dont use them. I use a black EI riggers belt with a mulitool on it.

You have way to much stuff on the mich, dont get the strobe there not 100% necessary. Buy a one hole norotos with the money saved.

Also use all ACU, you can use the PCU but its really unnecessary. Most run only ACUs, especially if your using a RBSS.

All you really need are some MGVVs, maybe some RSGRs. Ive got some spare RBTs if you want, they only come in JTU though, just make sure to take note that only Rangers can triforce, all others are newfa*s.

For the record, 7 mags are the standard combat load.

I was going to get some RJSUs or swap the MBSS for a MDCSSP but that was a bad idea!!
