Systema motor for AUG? Empty Systema motor for AUG?

    Post  Grasshopper 31.01.10 23:50

Can anyone tell me the difference between these 2 systema motors?

    http://www.airsplat.com/Items/AC-UPI-SY-MSSST.htm

    http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=25620

I need it to fit into my AUG. I'm not sure, but I think AKs and G36s share
the same mechbox as the AUG. Seems like both of these are recommended for AKs and G36s.
    They look different though.

Now, does anyone know if I'll have any nasty surprises if I put this into my JG AUG?
Can the box handle the increased power? I'm concerned, knowing little about AEGs, that
I could be risking all kinds of problems upgrading the motor and spring only.

    Any tips/suggestions/directions would be appreciated.

    Correct Trent

just stop by Airdog and they'll set you up with a Matrix Magnum or Turbo.

Rhino is also correct, I bought one of Airdogs Matrix motors for our "Trent Modified" M4 and you cannot beat it!

OKay, I'll check out that motor. Thanks for the suggestion.

I wanna put it in as I'd like to improve my range and increase my fps from ~290. (my current stock motor will not pull back an m115!)

I'm just worried about potential increases in rof that my gearbox may not be able to cope with. (and any other surprises that I may not be thinking of)

its more than likely not your motor being able to pull back the spring. Its more likely that your battery doesnt have the amperage to provide to the motor. I have had stock motors pull m150's no problem! a stock motor will pull a m115 no problem.

Yeah definately go with the Matrix Turbo, all of our super high speed and high power use those motors. Very good motors, never had one crap out on us yet. Between the 5 of us we probably have 16-18 guns with either the magnum or turbo in it. But I would recommend that you bring your gun into airdog to have it checked out see if it is the motor or battery.

Zero, I can test the gun with different batteries and such. If I do have to open it up to do work then 40.00

I'm sure its not the batteries as I have 4 different batteries. The m100 spring I have in there right now works fine with all of them. The m115 doesn't work with any of them. The spring goes back about half way and it all seizes up. The AUG only takes "small-type" batts so I'm not sure what else could be done as far as the batt is concerned. I have 2 9.6v 1600 mAh and 2 8.4v 1100 mAh.
The motor is stock. Its also quite loud. I'm sure it just doesn't have the torque.

Thanks for the offer to work on it. While I'm still on the learning curve I feel that I can
install pretty much any part on the gearbox. I've been saving up for a while to be able to make some upgrades to the gun. If I can save a few $$ not getting the systema then I can buy some bearing bushing or a new piston.
I just want to make sure I have no, unforeseen, surprises installing a new motor (ie like the arching issue mentioned previously).

I've had problems with JG motors burning out and not being able to pull anything back. I'd just get the Matrix/Gaurder Magnum.

But yes, the Systema motors have arcing issues where they'll short out. Technically you can modify the motors so they won't short out, but IMO it's just better to get the Matrix/Gaurder magnum b/c they're really good motors, they won't arc, and they cost $30 less.

src and G&G are junk motors they both burn up and or get extremely hot even under weak springs i would just go with the matrix they are the best by far

So G&G motors in all these guns running for so long is junk I don't think so. Just giving more options for motors.

I just want a kick-@$$ AEG without having to ditch my AUG.
I'm willing to upgrade whatever I need to, I just wanna
make sure I do it right. An fps of 400 for a better rate
of closure and range with accuracy is all I care about.
I rarely use full auto so rof is not important.

So maybe he had a bad motor I had a matrix that would heat up also. I know alot of people who use G&G and zero motor issues.

I like Matrix motors and I have found MOST of Systema's products to be drastically overpriced. My G&P M120 motor has done fin but the pinion gear could be better. SRC motors I have used were good with torque but terrible at speed. G&Gs are decent, not the best, not the worst. They do get fairly hot and uncomfortable (In a M4 grip that is).

I had 2 SRC super high torques, both were gone in about 200 shots, burnt up like there was no tomorrow. G&G are better but still garbage for the price compared to the matrix, matrix wins in all catergories. Never had any problems with many many many of them, so there is no question in which way to go.

I believe the question was more or less what is the best motor for my gun, and the answer regardless of G&Gs motor performance is still the Matrix. Its going to give faster response and be more reliable regardless of the quality of the G&G because its simply built better. Plus its dirt cheap anyhow and available at multiple retailers.
