well it is no shock that i try stuff(see barrel post)
my defected armory mosfet went the way of some others
and i do not have another one-hint,hint Reed
so i went to the parts store and picked up a relay
wired it for to my gun and it shoots
will it last-who knows
is it as good as a AB mosfet-no lost three RPS
does it work-so far
will it hold up to an 11.1 lipo-who knows

a mosfet is an electronic relay. the mechanical one will be more reliable. it just doesn't have active braking.
i don't have the room to put a mechanical relay.

that was the smallest one i can find
the mosfet reacts faster-the 3 rps
if i can make it AB if you burned it up just plug in another

so i played with it

that one was $14 but you can get them as cheap as $5
only took a few min.but my gun was wired for a mosfet
all you do is run your hot wire to your battery
run the ground thru the gate
and power from your trigger switch
ground to the relay
but your gun needs to be wired for a mosfet first
you can see how to do that on youtube

it seems to work OK but i think AB mosfet is better
but this will work in a pinch

I'm confused did you lose 3 rps or gain 3 rps?

lost three with the relay
but i think its heavy duty
this onr is for car windows so it should handle a gun motor
i think it would work just fine for a DMR or any single shot
i might build a un just to test it out more

yep
before the mosfet with a 11.1 it shot in the 24rps
the mosfet put it to 28rps
and the relay is 25rps
so it is a little faster
i think i can make it burst fire
i just need to set up a test gun for the fun of it

Does it work by allowing only a certain amount of amps through the circuit?

on this one i do not have any specs and i have not tested it yet
i think i will bring it to the swapmeet on sat

Not going to be there. I don't know enough about how wiring works to understand the theory behind it.
