One of my friends on AS finally got his prototype camo patterns patented and now has a web site running. Even if you don't like the patterns, words of encouragement would be appreciated!

This guy has been designing this pattern for almost 2 years now, his first prototypes were almost impossible to spot at first glance. The pattern is surprisingly effective, though the initial appearance may not be as appealing and Multicam and Marpat designs.

I think that they look great. If you think that MC performs better, check this out: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fear_gear/sets/72157625248696207/show/. In that test, it's clear that in some environments, the MEC-GB performs even better than MC. Now granted, that could have a lot to do with there the test materials were placed, but it's still pretty impressive in my opinion. Any word on when/if uniforms will be available?

His first prototype will be in sometime this January. If everything goes well, he has a company that will produce them en masse later on in the year.

Looks cool, but can you print hi-res on tougher fabrics like the Rip-Stop used for uniforms?

I'm not exactly sure, but he has been talking about what is plans are, and the uniforms will be rip-stop (according to him). I'm ready to see the finished product.

Here's the thing with camo. It will not work everywhere every time until Twitch finishes his work on the Predator cloaking camo. From what I see on the website it looks like it just may have it's place. I think that the website needs to be tightened up to be more professional looking though.

I wouldn't think so. There is a lot that goes into actually producing uniforms ready for sale. Go sell some lemonade in a high traffic area. Save up and get both!

I know its a bit of a stale topic, but I think that this product has alot of potential. However, in terms of MARKETING, I think this guy could do a whole lot better. Calling it 'FEARGEAR" is going to get him nowhere fast if he tries to sell it anywhere outside of the airsoft community. Honestly, if I were trying to supply my troops with an effective camo pattern and someone recommended me "FEARGEAR" I wouldn't even give it a look. I think a simple name change to something more professional would do wonders for this product, as silly as that might sound.
