haha, yeah, if you swiss cheese your cylinder, you'll end up with about 18 FPS. Swiss Cheesing the piston is supposed to help with rate of fire a little bit, but you obviously lose some piston strength, especially if you don't do it right.

it essential makes the piston weight less so that it returns faster so that your sector gear does not pre maturly grab the piston teeth. i have done it a few times with some pistons

it doesnt increase fps, and it isnt smart unless u no how to drill your PISTON in the right place to take weight off

omg if u cut holes in the cylinder you will have no compression so no fps. we are saying that gunny was mistaken he was realy asking about the piston.

New rule, if you are blatantly wrong about something and are hence proven wrong, you cannot use the back on topic excuse to draw attention away from yourself. Sniper2525 was ABSOLUTELY on topic, the whole time.

I did it, and it really shows no difference in overall ROF.

Its actually supposed to help the piston get more air into the cylinder because the piston works as a single stage valve. When it draws backwards a rubber o-rign slides forwards allowing air to come into the piston. Then when the piston is sprung forward, the O rign immediately slids back and seals the air in the cylinder, firing it out through the air-nozzle.

Don't swiss cheese it though. Even though it is incredibly easy to do, it's not worth your time. Unless your working with a aluminum piston head, don't do it.

Yes Trent is right, swiss cheezing the piston does allow it to weigh less so it can return faster as trent said so it wont get caught on the sector gear, or pre-engage, the piston before it is meant to be engaged.
