High Speed Gears? Empty High Speed Gears?

    Post  navyseal1000 29.10.09 10:59

What's up? I wanted to stop by here and get some advice. I was going to buy a Mosfet along with a set of high speed gears. Does anyone know what would be the best choice for getting around 50+ rps? If I can get gears and up to 50 rps that would be nice High Speed Gears? Fresse
    thanks,

    Wow nice triple post.
Coby why are you looking to get that kind of rof? If you can't really afford to put the cash up front then are you going to be able to maintain it? Airsoft guns break. That's the bottom line, and while I am not trying to take work away from Rhino I don't know if it would be the best idea to try and go for that extreme of a route. Personally I think a modest 25-30 rps is enough, but hey it's your cash (well TM MP5).

There comes a point where you just cant tell its much faster, i mean, 30 rps sounds like a weedeater, and 50 just sounds like a faster weedeater.

Did i mention that you will go through a midcap in 2 seconds? thats BRRRRRRRR or a highcap in 4? thats BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, so if you want say.... to be able to provide for for more than 30 seconds you need 15 midcaps, or 8 highcaps Smile

Oh you will be able to tell the difference when you hear it. You have still yet to hear zeros P90. When it was on a 12 volt when he was trying out a custom piston, it was producing crazy sounds. You will be able to hear the difference. And russ seems to do fine with his rof and bbs plus hes going to double his rof in the near future.

Hey man if you are interested in high rof I would look into a vortex bbmg. If you are any good with PVC and doing just a little bit of research, you can easily make a 50+ rps gun for about $40. Add another $120 or so and you can make it CO2 powered and complety portable. Depending on what pressure you use, I have seen the fps range from 330-450. Oh, and you can make the BB capacity about as large as you want it. Mine holds 2000-3000.

    Here's a link:

    Also, search for "Ultimate Inline"

That piston won't last long! 50 rps is no easy task!!!! Out of all the guns that come to our games I'm the only one with a gun doing over 50. If it was an easy task you would see more of those 40+ setups around.

And what about a Strafer for rof? Heck with all the gears, batteries, pistons, gear boxes, and all the other internals, just buy a Strafer for a few $100 more and you have your self 170 rps.
    Case closed.
